eBay tat volume 3.

This looks like ideal Cavcraft stock.  2 days' MOT, filthy interior and a mystery starting issue.  It's even in Cheshire.

I know sod all about old Yank crap like this, but £2,050 for this old bucket of bollocks seems vastly over-priced to me.

I agree, it's worth maybe 10%.  Maybe!

Asking and selling prices for Yank stuff seem all over the place.  I think there's a theory (in the seller's mind) that that one could be bodged up as some kind of rat rod as it has separate chassis.

It has theoretically desirable Engine, Gearbox and rear axle, but only for someone with a lot more cash to splash.

With that said, asking prices for any kind of running V8 engine (alone) seem to be in the 1K region - unless it's something like a Jag one where you need all the electronic gubbins for it to work.

The Packhard is making me salivate.

What a fucking glorious thing:)

Packard's own autobox mated to this engine allowed the car to function entirely in just one ratio except on hill starts. Never knowingly out-wafted.

That is exquisite.. But so is the sound of one with a supercharger on it;)

Nobody's got more taste than you, chief.

I really fancy one of these for when the sun shines.

Perfect really.  The only colour to bother with, leather, hard top as well.  Winner.

This is also rather splendid, but no "hairdresser" roof - so i'm out.

Some of the wankiest wanky numberplate wanking ever seen.

it shows as SIA6308 and when positioned correctly it spells STAG 30ltrV8

No, it spells "great big enormous twannet".

That Bedford is a wonderful, gorgeous thing but the price they're asking is rather comical.  Plus I'm not 100% sure a 2006 Iveco engine is a major selling point.

Posted

That has been for sale since the internet was invented and has been the but of many jokes,

I guess at that price he will be stuck with it for many years too.

It does look well done but the modern running gear could make it fall foul of the dvla. He has knocked 20 grand off from his original price so it is a relative bargain now.

Saw it in the flesh at Silverstone a couple of years ago, it's beautifully put together, but not terribly roomy.

Those silly little wheels and funny headlights don't look any better in real life either.

I'd rock a Monogram, but the HGF thing is no joke.

And no. I'm not just being internet mythy.

There's a bloke on the FB page with the most immaculately maintained Monogram car. Serviced by a specialist down to the letter and beyond.

Now on its 4th HG.

For someone who needs a car to just work the Toyota wins. Which is annoying, as there's something about the MG.

Until the MR2 suddenly starts burning a liter of oil every couple of miles and the sub frame rots out lol....

I'd rather have the mr2

I'd like the SW20 (the red one). Rare without a sunroof or t-tops. The lack of a boot spoiler makes me think it might be the 130bhp Carina motor (3SFE) though.

Ambitious pricing on this Elite, and not one photo showing the whole car -

My old red Excel has turned up for sale at a dealer's at over 6K.  The ad does not reveal how shonky the interior is.

I am not sure that I agree about the V8.  A well sorted Lotus 900 series engine is luvverly.
