£7,000?

'when I refer to “new” components, all the work was done approximately 6 or 7 years ago, so parts are more accurately New Old Stock, but essentially unused.'

Brilliant. Would you consider a new Allegro gearbox and bonnet in part-exchange? I say new, they've been lying on the bottom of the fucking Shropshire Union canal for the last 23 years, so more accurately New Old Stock, but essentially unused.

It's nice to find someone with worse lifestyle aspirations.

Once I get the paper round back i had when I was 14 I'm going to use this to deliver the papers with the doors in permanent slid back position.

What are those thingys on the bonnet?

Seems this car was once owned/used by Pilkington glass for demonstrations and exhibiting.   Presumably the slots held glass sheets/panes of some kind.

Was sold* back in October, apparently....http://www.wolseleyregister.co.uk/car-for-sale-wolseley-1248-s-iii/

Edit - Found this.....

Cheap Bluebird in need of some loving.  Hopeless pictures but the interior does look nice and veloury.  Not a million miles from chez Spottedlaurel, coincidentally...

Ah, the classic place where 306s rust.

For some reason, all 3 other wheel arches have plastic liners in them from the factory, but the left-rear doesn't. This means that mud and other shit thrown up from the road accumulates and causes rot exactly like what's shown there. They finally put an arch liner in on the phase 3 models. I managed to nab a left-rear arch liner from a phase 3 in the scrappy for my phase 1 I had a few years back.

However, I know somebody who could plate that up for £not-too-much, so if it was closer I would. Bosch pump conversion and a recent cambelt and only 113k on the clocks? Win!

Yup, seen that around a few times over the years on my lunchtime wanders. Be a shame if it ends up being raced, looked OK and GS is a nice spec.

Not really in a position to go for it myself though, but there's that lad local to me who is after bits and I've sent him a text.

WTF is that on the back?

s-l1600.jpg

That thing on the back has been on eBay and even appeared on this thread a while back. It is a homemade dune/beach buggy thing. As you can imagine it was quite expensive, just think a "splitty" died in the making of it.

Crewcab beavertail LDV with a 2.5 turbo Indenor.  Would.

Kind of would on both of those....

Are unmolested split screen vans not worth a squillionty pounds nowadays? Whoever did that must be kicking themselves.

The LDV is a stoater though, GR8 4 mini roundabouts.
