Not sure about that Volvo Coop ... the back half looks like a Masser, and the front half just looks odd.

Datsun is too good to be true?!?!

If you closer the paintwork doesn't seem quite right, too sort of freshly sprayed/flat in places and if you check out this picture:

It looks like someone has scratched/chipped fresh paint. The sills also look very 'quick blow over-esque' and the the driver's footwell seems to be a mess of half arsed wiring with bits of the dashboard looking broken too.

*Edit: That Volvo is MEGA fit. Looks sort of like the bastard lovechild of a Maserati, Saab and Mk2 Granada.

That Volvo coop is solid WIN! 8)

This tidy wee Fiesta is exactly the same as the one I passed my driving test in many moons ago.

Lovely early model CX, bit of a wing-ding but still would.... 8)

I see what you mean about the Datsun. I feel there will be plenty of horror if we looked close enough at the innards.

Anyway, that Volvo looks ace! Looks like a Ferrari 400 cross Volvo.

More than just a wing ding - that side view shows a very rippled scene. Still lovely though and that interior is wonderful.

Oh yeah, the Volvo is beautiful. On the face of it, a time capsule. I'd put up with the LHD for that 8)

Some cheap shite. It looks like the most bogo spec 850 available with 10 months T&T for £400. Looks pretty sweet.

This is temptingly cheap on the Blue, a 1984 Nissan Silvia 1800 turbo. GR8 4 Reliant SS1 :D

With a bit of Googling he paid £420 for this in the summer, it's now a mere £600 which is fair considering the work he's done. Still too far for a casual punt, and too risky to buy unseen

Gain shite points if it's a 10 valve version as they are a bit miserable. Shame it's not an 850 base as they came with bugger all. Could also be had with one (nearside) electric mirror, which is one of the more bizzare options I've seen on a fairly modern car.

So you had one electric mirror and one manual mirror? Sounds weird.

Mercedes used to do this option, as did Citroen - I once smoked a Xsara 'East Coast' (in that awful metallic piss colour) that had a manual driver's mirror and electric passenger's.

Back on course - look at this!

Bonus points for the 'Gowrings' dealer sticker - either Newbury, Reading or Wokingham I guess, although they wouldn't have supplied it originally being Ford dealers. Jack Hill, Black & White or Hewden's were the local Fiat dealers of the time. Wonder where it's been hiding as I've never seen it before.

I was about to say that it sounds like a LHD/RHD thing but it makes sense to have the electric passenger mirror as thats the one you cant reach when driving. Not a bad idea. Pointless for me as I don't use my mirrors unless I am on a motorbike as most of my first cars never had them.

Just to confirm, that datsun 120 thing is 100% chock-full of wob! its wheelarches are wobbly as fook and completely the wrong shape, i wouldnt touch it even if it was free. Horrible.

This early Mondeo looks quite smart, and Peter James should insure it in 9 days time. :)
