eBay tat volume 3.

Even at the start price (£495) it'll still make Pete's seem cheap.

It's a non runner so a potential for some major expense there in recovery costs, welding, MOT and the unknown condition of the engine and box.

'HAS THE ADDED BENEFIT OF BOSCH K-JETRONIC FUEL INJECTION'

'CURRENTLY A NON RUNNER) AS I HAVE BEEN TOLD THE FUEL IS NOT GETTING THROUGH'

The benefit here being disability then?

Right, but how much work will that need to match Pete's condition wise? He wants £1300 ish and his is solid with lots of T&T. Not really a fair comparison is it? That will be hiding a shitload of rot, I guarantee it.

That's my point, Jon. I'm saying that car makes Pete's look cheap as the potential costs to get it anywhere near what his is would probably be horrendous.

For some reason I read 'cheap' as 'expensive'.

Ha ha, that 604 was on eBay about 20 times for less and less money, eventually selling for about 400 quid. Then it miraculously reappeared on carandclassic, in exactly the same condition, but now on the south coast rather than in Suffolk, for £1500. Looks like these knucklefucks have realised that tripling your money on an eBay purchase without expending any effort whatsoever just doesn’t happen. They didn’t even bother getting the fuggin engine running FFS.

Gorgeous BX, but the seller wants HOW MUCH?????????

Get on leboncoin and book a cheap ferry ticket. God, you could hire a translator for a week, fill the car with wine on the return journey and still come in under five grand.

Exactly what they did two weeks ago. I know the guy that drove it home. Taking the piss with that price...

Ever wondered what happened to those old lockers and pallets your boss lobbed out thirty odd years ago?

'was a quality built. The car is correctly registered as a Triumph Tourer, I do have all the history of the car and build spec,'

Presumably 'build spec' means a two year old's drawing of the car of the future which was found in a puddle of CFC from the bottom of the fridge that also doubles up as the bodywork?

Oo! A classic VW that actually looks interesting and original due to it not being slammed, bearing a chrome roofrack and having DUB!!!!11!one!1 written all over it.

Also just successfully bidsniped an expensive calculator on ebay, GR2.718!

It's probably bad then that the salty BX is a money-no-object kinda purchase if I had the readies? Of course, I'd probably do my research and find out a holiday to Franceland to collect a cheaper one was better, but if I had the money burning a hole in my pocket I would have thrown it at the seller for that silver one, I like the look of it that much. Just as well I'm broke.

The Vec estate doesn't look bad and is fairly practical for what it is, but Vectras are deeply uninspiring things to drive. And I actually don't mind (some) Vauxhalls.

You'll get about 30 mpg on combined cycle from the V6 engine, which isn't bad. The engines are fairly tough although alternators can fail due to their (hot) location behind the back vee.
