Fake rust is for dobbers.

If I had £1500 quid and wanted a smart newish car I'd be over this like a fat guy who found a wedding cake in a skip.

The old 520i was hopeless but the later 2.2 ones are magic and still a better car than the year older (and in my mind much pisher) e60 that costs 5 times as much.

If you were more pissed than me (and good luck with that one right now) you may be able to spot the celebrity. I've got Jimmy Savile bottom left, Toyah Wilcox top left, fuck know the others and on the other side is the bloke off the Go Compare advert with some other non-entities.

I'd go for Jimmy Savile actually being Annie Lennox, with Bob Marley beside her and is that Stevie Wonder in pink? No ideas about the rest.

I can do Bob Marley & Stevie Wonder & I'll raise you an Amy Winehouse, but the other two fuckers I have no idea - X - factor?

I'm sober and agreed on Savile, The Bob Marley is actually quite good and worth masking off before the desperately needed blow over, I can also see black Elvis and Mr. Motivator packing a handgun but no idea who the 3 birds are, although the one by the tail lamp has a Jack Russels body. On the offside it's definitely Stan Laurel, Molly Sugden, Benny Hill, Hitler and Eva, then below, Harold Lloyd, not sure about the lass in the headscarf, Dave Lee Travis maybe? Dot Cotton and Carol Vorderman.

Tailgate's easy, Tony Blair, Courtney Love, Jon Bon Jovi and Morrisey in a gimp suit.

I'll have to take a guess at the bonnet, Big Country?

I didn't think it possible but that vans actually worse when I'm sober.

I though it was a murial of the staff in the Greggs in Bolton.

I got an electric shock last time I went in there. I stood on a bun and a currant shot up my leg.

Appropriate number plate is appropriate

'Has a problem with locking (it doesn't)'

Seeing as nobody in their right mind would drive this, let alone steal it, I wouldn't worry too much about that.

Love that old masser but the 2.5 is a bit crap compared to the later 2.8 They are great cars but getting dear now, this seems like a bargain. There again you could always buy a fiat coupe 20v turbo which is quicker. I just got a '98 in ink black with full leather for 400 quid just needed pads and discs and a rear box for the mot. I might punt it on though as the cambelt is due and a 13.8 hour job !!! still goes well enough though

Posted

Sorry, the cambelt is a 13 hour job?! So that basically writes the car off just by needing a cambelt change? Over a day's garage labour say £35 a hour @ 14 hours = £490! excluding parts!

Posted

Pretty sure there's a 'quick fix' on those FIATs so you don't need to spend all that time doing the cam belt.

KruJoe's wet dream: full MOT, 11k, mismatched hubcaps, saloon, and tailblazer!

Posted

With stock lights and wheels, finished in white with some builders signwriting down the side, and a useful loadbed - that would be alright. I like that.

Bet it handles like a barge though, those MV6s aren't exactly light are they?

Posted

Probably not but the 3 litre Omega is a seriously quick weapon, must be mega fun in a Mk3 Astra.

Ha ha, thanks for that Will! It's minty fresh.

The 1500 are surprisingly grunty too.

Don't forget this one guys - ends tonight:

No bids at £375. I'd be tempted if it were somewhere in N Eng.

Don't just live the dream, live in the dream.

I think I'd rather sack off the caravan bit and try to make it into some kind of pickup.

This looks alright but I've no idea what it'd be like to drive with a 2 litre pinto powering it.

foreign bidders are welcome but must view first

I'd be pretty hacked off if I'd taken a slow boat from China to come and look at this and it was pissing down. Or maybe he is referring to the waiter from The Star Of India? Still, doesn't read well...

They're actually not that bad. The 2.0 Pinto was a reasonably gutsy old thing, I had a Mk2 recovery truck and a campervan with that engine and they went ok.

Oh well, at least it's not a VW I suppose

I'm pretty sure it was about £30k more than this the first time he tried to offload it. I'm hoping it turns into a Peugeot 405 for the owner and the daft bastard can't shift it.
