Pretty sure this is the one that was parked in Mouldsworth Cheshire, not far from the off-road place.

It's a 'resurrection' car which seems to mean it was fitted with a new battery and a couple of tyres. before they realised there's more chance of resurrecting my love life than this fucking Vauxhall Nova.

Why didn't he start with the cabrio?

Because the original beach cars had solid roofs too.

The more I look at that, the better it gets (for a Maestro). Although I'm guessing sunroof isn't factory fit (Clubman spec is too mingebag) so it probably leaks. Not £2k worth mind, especially without an MoT.

"may need a service and some light decommissioning"

It's not an old nuclear power station, although it is as desirable as one.

I think by that point they all had sunrooves as it was cheaper to just use the same basic shell for all of them than to use a different roof pressing for Clubman and LX.

Yes, even in 1990 the sunroof was standard on all Maestros.

Anyone interested would be worth trying to get the original reg number off them and checking MOT history.

The garage in the background has an LDV van or minibus that looks to have been used by Rover (or LDV) and have (or had) two or three  Rover 200 BRMs.
