Pretty sure AP were in Leamington Spa. The local football team is nicknamed 'The Brakes' because of AP, which is no longer there of course. 

The only other AP 'fact' I can offer is that they developed the Mini (and subsequently Metro) automatic transmission.

In my opinion the best colour combination for one of these, would be even better with black wheels and in Vanden Plas 2600 6 cylinder form , it is practically compulsory for these to have towbars, more so the series 2 cars, they don't look right without towbars
