I think the Wexford number is high enough to mark it as an one attempt to sell them in Ireland.import.Hurley's Garage at Derrylahan, near Dunmanway was a Proton dealer for a short time in the early 90s,so there must have been some attempt to sell them in Ireland.

By the reg (06WXxxxxx, 5/6 digit after county marker is an import post 2012) it's imported

Proton were actually pretty popular in Ireland around 1990; I can think of a few dealers on the east coast around that time (Aughrim, Shillelagh, Kilternan and Monkstown) and I reckon there were a good few more (Protons were a common sight until at least 2000)

That's probably why I don't remember seeing them. I was young enough to probably mistake them for something else if I did see them

Might be one of very few SD Turbos left here, so maybe worth curiosity value, if nothing else.

There’s one being rescued on the blue forum somewhere, possibly by the same person who’s done the police sd1. Good threads worth a read.

If you are a member of the church of ”it’s better to buy a well serviced working leggy one “ then step this way

Those E60s are a lot like earlier BMs.  You get in one expecting it to be 'all that' and they're actually really dull.

No mention of MOT and, tbh, CBA looking on line to find out.  If not tested, @DodgyBastard should book it in for one and drive it home.
