My first Innocenti was a chrome bumper SWB model on Dutch plates - just like that one but red.  HG-95-BH was the reg.  Bought it for £150 from a scrapyard just outside Norwich in 2001.  It was rock solid but the wiring had been comprehensively butchered and I never managed to get it running (I knew even less about electrics then than I do now).

Got any photos of it? What happened to it in the end?

I did have an extremely crap digital photo of it, but I have no idea where that's gone.  I sold it to a chap who was going to restore it.  Then I was Innocentiless for about eight years until I bought my current one.

Do not paint.  Well alright, maybe the roof.

Actually the roof is the only original bit. Imagine an orange Interceptor: behold, The Gingerceptor.

Not shite money but not too stupidly priced for one of these.

The Gingerceptor. That would go very nicely with my orange corduroy suit.

He used to, maybe still does, make kit cars.

TT replica based on a Metro, the Banham 200 which is a Maestro based RS200. He supposedly was in possession of the original moulds - I nearly bought a partially built one from a guy I worked with.

That makes it sound like I am a fan of his shit, I’m not. It’s just some proper stuff is unattainable.

I fucking love the RS200.

Here’s mine ?

Just needs the "right" engine. About 2000cc 300 bhp, some sort of forced charging.

Doesn't need 4x4

I'd like one.

But it does have a sea of beige.

In a money-no-object dreamworld (which I suspect many of us are visiting more frequently at the moment), I'd love to rescue this, ditch the atrocious alloys, repaint in a period correct colour (maybe Wild Moss) and get rid of the electric power steering.

Perfect for that essential* journey.

Something heroic about the shite-ness of photographing this Gothic horror by the bins downstairs, and then trying to flog it during the plague-days.

Want.

Quite a lot.

*Driven once in the last 3 weeks, to buy lawnmower petrol from a pay at the pump. Mask, goggles, gloves, late at night. Frightening. This bourgeois-barge would have suited my mood perfectly.

I’m sure there used to be an MR layout kit car version that used a YB. I remember something about it from Ford mag adverts in the 90s. £17K as a kit and £24K, built Iirc.

It possibly was the KAT or whatever they are called ones, with the weird side skirts.

This is brake dust caused by cheap pads?
