I've no idea how to price a mk1 Cav nowadays. They were utterly worthless about 15 years ago, just as Manta prices were starting to take off.

Generally at least a grand less than the equivalent Cortina, I would reckon. But the low end of that auction estimate does seem ridiculously low assuming the car has a recent MoT and is not fucked.

Having said that, where is this auction again? ?

Have we had this little sweetie yet?  Probably a bit* rusty, but still would.  Shows how much prices for these have gone up though, when a rough one is already at 770 quid with nearly two days left.

This 3-dr 2.2 manual SRi is cheap as chips and has already failed to get a single bid at £500 once, now its £250 and is still barely getting a sniff. Wanky coilover suspension fitted but it still looks decent.

The mingebag models are ace in their own right, but the snazzier model 16V ones with the seat extenders etc are a much nicer place to be.

It's all very well buying quality* ancient Mercedes, but it's probs time @wuvvum really showed us what he made of, by simply* buying this Volvo

It gets minus points for not having those 1970's 'Dymo' printer type labels by every single switch, but redeems itself for having a name that reminds of this class act..

Watchlisted, although unfortunately it's still another 6 months before it'll be old enough to be legally driven on a car licence.  I do have provisional PSV entitlement, but then I'd have to buy L plates and employ a qualified bus driver to sit in the front row every time I went out in it, which could get expensive.

Looks cheap but burning oil isn't good on that engine, especially if there's not much history, ask me how I know!!

Although, at that price point it could still provide a very decent mode of transport for someone.

Motor is just the right size for the car.

This isn't going to be a popular opinion....

But for some reason I like that camo pattern Cavalier.

I don't think I'd buy it though, I can think of better ways to spend £750.

Now this is pretty cool. If you aren't fan of the white Grand Am Coupe above, why not try this white Grand Am Coupe from 2 generations earlier? Quad4 powered and manual, that's a rare find even in the states.

DOHC 16v! That was a bit snazzy for the yankees at the time wasn't  it?

Also when I saw this;

I was thinking "The fuck? D, Dvilnod?" Lol.

I have to wonder how that camo Cav steers on those RWD Manta wheels?

Decent advert too. Had 3 Cavs in my chequered past so always a soft spot.

The Quad 4 actually was a really modern engine for it's time, DOHC and 16 Valves in a 4-cyl were still pretty unusual back then, especially for a car from GM. They had some impressive outputs in some tunes, apparently a bit rough running though before they added balance shafts.

Opel Monza alloys? I'm out then.

Amateurs.  Completely the wrong offset for a front wheel drive vauxhall.  I bet the handling is like flying a plane with broken Flaps and Slats and Aerions? Or an omega with worn wishbones.
