One owner from new! Makes it even more worth saving

Posted

Interesting. The other SM1500 behind was sold some time ago I think and had the engine removed for I expect one of the Singer sports which are worth a lot more. It was then up for sale again minus engine - I hope it survived. These have a nice and unusual twin-cam. Hope this one doesn't go the same way - thought actually it looks in worse nick. Unhappy days for these old buses. Not that popular when new - and really the car that finished Singer. Not a bad car but too expensive at the time compared say to an equivalent Austin or Ford. But actually a better made car. But another lost marque as it was swallowed up by Rootes. Jowett met the same fate - just not competitive enough once the post-war car market moved from a sellers to a buyers market as shortages started to ease. Of course they disappeared completely sold out to International Harvester. Now an Asda on the old factory site!

Non running SVX

Removing that tail spoiler might actually increase its value.

Registration plate appears to spell name of a common brand of toilet cistern block.

I somehow miss the term 'unique' in the ad, but I'm pretty sure there is already a huge queue of potential buyers forming,

falling over each other to rehome and lavishly restore this rare investment opportunity.

What a weedhead.

Essex-powered Herald project.  Does beg the question "why?"

I'm surprised it made that much TBH

Tidy little 309 in (almost) giffer spec (has added clock and 5 speed 'box). Not sure about the black bonnet. I seriously would if it had a rev counter and hadn't recently spent about that much on the Saab and Mrs D's corolla combined.

Simca flavoured, so people would hear the tappets about a mile away.

PEUGEOT 406 GLX. diesel. Good runner but just failed mot. Full service history

Also a bar underneath the drivers seat broke and to keep the seat level I use a timber rest from a pair of Stanley sawhorses!

Yes, I like driving with splinters in my bum. Doesn't disclose what else it needs for some fresh Mott.
