I seem to remember something about it getting a Rover V8 but maybe I imagined that. Would have been a bit of a laugh if it did.

My school books were full of my own drawings of stuff like this. Gasser drag race Citroen 2CVs and roof-chopped Jensen Interceptors and all sorts of nonsense like that. (Can you imagine the difficulties of getting a rear window to work with a roof-chopped Jensen?).

Yeah me too, although there was a fair smattering of stupidly low Beetles and VW buses too. I had some drawings I was actually quite proud of but for some reason a teacher decided to dispose of them during one of the school holidays

I might be wrong, but as far as I know there were no Riley RM pickups - the cab on this is incredible, even has a wind down rear window and al the wood trims look factory too
