I changed the drive belt on Sunday as it was looking a bit elderly

An easy job being right at the front of the engine and on top. Adjusted up easily too.

The old one had stretched a bit...it's definitely the correct replacement too, as I matched up the part numbers.

I also checked the cam belt by popping the cover off. Not in the first flush of youth but looks OK.

Followed by a rinse using Simonez wax free shampoo. I normally use Autoglym, but this was half the price and I reckon does a better job. Where the paint isn't faded or LPd it came up rather well.

I put it on gumtree for a laugh, and some knobber offered '£140 cash 2day'. Even by the usual standards that's taking the piss.

I s'pose that's the car equivalent of asking every girl in a nightclub for a dance in that hope that 1 will say yes.

Even if you had accepted his offer it would have dropped to £100 by the time he actually arrived, (which he never would anyway)

I'll keep hold of this for a bit longer after all. Interest was minimal anyway! I can see a roffle in a few months time is probably the best bet.

I've got a 350 mile trip to do tomorrow, and being a hooligan in POWER mode last night proved to me I'm not quite done with it. The fact it's an auto is relatively meaningless, it's still a hoot.

Good call.

I did a fair bit of hooning around in a Legacy saloon of the same vintage with the auto box. Some years ago now but I still remember how much fun it was.

Let's have another go at flogging this but via a roffle this time.

I'll have to stipulate only trusted shiters or people with 200+ post counts, in an attempt to avoid what happened to Jim Bell.

Or if anyone wants this outright for £400, feel free.  It's an extremely competent car, and good fun on the twisties too.

To stop the ramps skidding backward tie some nylon rope to them. Long enough so the non ramp wheels rest on them as the car moves onto the ramp.

I use 3 pieces of wooden decking resting on the 1st 3 steps of the ramp, to make the gradient less steep.  This also stops the spoiler from hitting the ramp too.

I digress. Number 52 if you insist on a the roffle.

Number 9 if available, if not, a number divisible by 9. Thank you

This would suit the other half nicely once I’ve convinced her to like it.

Don’t need a replacement for her car until Oct though so two randoms please.

One for me Rob, I might win a roffle of yours one day.

All things being equal I think I've sold this, so won't need to roffle it after all I'm afraid!

Is it staying in the folding?

Sold to BenHar, previously of this parish.  Seems a pleasant chap in real life, and I'm not just saying that as I've sold a car to him!
