Right, it's definitely going to happen. Due to poor health and too many cars I'm going to part with Bleriot the 17rd. Has a very short MOT but drives really nicely albeit it's not the most refined. Had a new clutch cable recently, and one of the front to rear pipes done. Could really do with welding on the front inner wings and a small inch square patch on a rear doorstep but went through last MOT with no advisories for this. Photos do flatter him a bit, but it is presentable. Interior is nice and clean although one seat base is getting thread bare now. No power steering and no sunroof but does have electric windows. Would like 450 for him and he's in Coventry

Yes, the RD is basic XUD non turbo. My dad had three sequentially when I was learning to drive. Not fast by any means, but as an 18 year old it’s fast enough. Originally he had a c reg 19rd, then the three 17s and lastly a 19TXD. Not one had a single problem mechanically ( the spoiler on the TXD needed a few repaints under warranty, and some idiot hit it side on whilst I was driving )

Yes it's the slow 1.7 non turbo engine. I've never had problems keeping up with traffic and will cruise at 70mph but you do need to turn the radio up.

Not going to roffle. MOT is out in two weeks and I doubt it would be done by then. If I can get rid of my Xm quickly I might bang it in for a mot and see what it needs. Obviously price would go up then with a full MOT though hence offering it now. I'm pretty confident it will go through on the inner wings as it did last year as I hid the rust spots under sound deadening.

Are you in the CCC? If not then Tim is the relevant contact ( bx at citroencarclub.org.uk) and mention I sent you.

Non Sunroof & non PAS = FTW.

These bodyshells rust less than the sunshine roof ones and the FDV has two less ports so they get up to pressure and rise more quickly.

I am really in two minds about selling it. Trouble is when you have a fleet of cars they need constant attention and my health is getting worse. Not having a garage means at this time of year I can't do much. If it was warm out I'd be getting the welding sorted and re mot'ed. Having 3 months of not doing anything from July onwards last year due to surgery means it never got done. Plus dragging the welder down the garden bloody cripples me at the moment. Having a knackered spine is really starting to piss me off

A few photos from this morning

Rust spots on offside rear wing, they've never grown in my ownership and the wing feels solid to the touch.

Well now I'm wishing I had a really nice AX to part ways with.  I'm stuck for funds without more time and/or selling the Rover, otherwise I'd already be shoving money in your face for this.  It's close to my ideal BX spec, so close I'd even be willing to dip my toe into diesel ownership again.

GLWTS anyway.

I've no idea as I hate running engines on the stuff, it doesn't seem worth the hassle for the savings involved. What any new owner does with it is there business but there is half a tank of diesel in it!

It's just rubbish timing.  If it had come up for sale a couple of weeks ago I'd already own it.  If it came up for sale in a couple of weeks time, I'd buy it.  But right now this minute, I'm stuck.  So I'm digging around and seeing what I can sell and borrow and whatnot.  The asking price is no money at all, unless you don't have it at that exact moment and then it's all the money ever.

It's incredibly frustrating.  I just know I'm going to miss out on this.
