Split_Pin Posted January 20, 2019 Author Posted January 20, 2019 The OSR caliper is now fixed so she drives like a good'un once again. I have seen a another car that I want to buy from a forum member and which I have already driven. Can everybody please check the latest list and let me know if you no longer want the ticket(s) that you have been allocated.
Split_Pin Posted January 20, 2019 Author Posted January 20, 2019 Bump, I would sell for £500 as well.
yes oui si Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 I'm skint 'til the end of the month so I'm gonna have to bow out, sorry.
oldcars Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 £500. That's cheap. Makes me wonder again why i bother with mine. It's getting the jacking points welded and painted as we speak. BorniteIdentity and Split_Pin 2
Maurice Marina Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 I’ll take a random and I could deliver the jag if I win. So win win.
Cheezey Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 I'm still happy to have my hat in the ring for this. Split_Pin 1
Split_Pin Posted January 20, 2019 Author Posted January 20, 2019 I've just been told by some wally on a Rover Facebook page that even with a full MOT he would only give me £200 for this car because 75s are only worth 'scrap'. Either they are trolling or I have just discovered someone that is too stupid to even stupid. BorniteIdentity and Talbot 2
rml2345 Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 Too stupid to stupid. Or he thinks the last proper Rover was the P4 and these new fangled ones will never catch on.Probably the former though. Split_Pin 1
Mally Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 It's not far from the truth though. The first time something bad happens it tends to cost more than the cars worth to fix it.Obviously why I'm still in, I could need a replacement at any time, and they are rather nice when working.I'm in Spain till the 28 Jan. If I miss payment I'm good for credit. oldcars 1

If I miss payment I'm good for credit.Mine died when its rear suspension shat itself. Would have been more expensive to fix than the car cost me. Shame, as I really liked it. If I won this I might even sell my 9-5 and waft in this for a while, enjoy MPG above the low twenties.
GeordieInExile Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 The Jaaaaag selling before roffle has upset me enough to want a second ticket for this. So...a second random, please.
Split_Pin Posted January 21, 2019 Author Posted January 21, 2019 All names added to the list. Morning bump.
Split_Pin Posted January 21, 2019 Author Posted January 21, 2019 Price dropped to £7.50 per ticket - can't keep the seller of the Saab waiting too long. aldo135 1

aldo135 Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 I'll take another one then Iain, random me up! Split_Pin 1
Tickman Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 Get the Roffle tag back on it and two randoms for me while you are at it.
Split_Pin Posted January 22, 2019 Author Posted January 22, 2019 I'm keeping it for now. Ranging from being told its 'generously' worth £200 even with a full MOT, to someone whose Facebook profile states London but they expect me to believe them when they tell me they're from Livingston (and just want to buy the car without viewing/testing) and the fact that the Roffle was taking far too long for me to be bothered with it, I have had enough and decided to continue tooling about in the old bus for a while yet. I have a few other things I need to be taking care of first i.e. me.
Tickman Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 You have two thirds of the tickets allocated and it was pulled from sale as you wouldn't pass on a problem to someone else. You have now sorted the brakes so it is good to go. I think a few days of promotion could see this fill up and then drawn, you could offer some designer lamp shades Whatever you do make sure it is right for you.The change could be the boost of interest you need. aldo135, Split_Pin and loserone 3
Split_Pin Posted January 22, 2019 Author Posted January 22, 2019 Thanks John, I'm going to leave things as they are just now though Not sure how the Roffle tag reappeared, I have removed it.
Unclefester Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 I feel your pain I'm going through the gumtree crap just now too. Just a knightmare lol.
