How bad is the front corrosion?

Not bad enough to warrant fixing right now.

Made my day that has. The sun is out (that London), the birds are singing (seagulls) and silly red car has survived the crusher!

It's been fun sorting this out, maybe we could do it again on something else and actually do a shiter loan scheme type of thing.

I've a Lancia Thema which needs a bit of welding for the mot if you're interested rather than scrapping it.

Woo! Excellent work!

As an aside I just saw a red C15 van on the M74. Common as muck these Citroens...

I think the next thing I really need to get on with welding is my diesel 305 estate...

I'm going to head up to Peterhead at the weekend with a battery grinder in the hope of finding some salvageagle rear arches on one of these.

This is great news and just goes to show what a load of bollox the mot test can be,wonder how many basically sound old cars have been condemned by an over enthusiastic mot tester?,bravo, a good little machine lives to fight another day.

The original mot tester quoted them £2000 to repair it and told them they were better off just pushing it off of a cliff, clearly they just didn't want the work but it's still a bit of a shitty thing to tell them.

The kamaraderie in this thread is simply beautiful. Great to see the little Visa has passed it's MOT. I wonder what will be next?
