An S type (despite its underpinnings) would be a great car for pretending to be a modern day Inspector Morse, blasting out classical music in between pulling over for "pints of best" with your down trodden sidekick while remembering extracts of obscure texts that you read 30 years ago in "Eureka" moments before jumping in the car and kicking up gravel leaving the car park.
