Pistonheads Shed Of The Week Discussion Thread

Recommended Posts

One of my guilty pleasures every Friday is checking on there to see what their team of ace motor noters had dragged up from their classified ad section. I'm pretty sure I can't be the only shiter who pops over to have a look so I thought I'd start a thread on here so we can discuss the relative merits of their choice and maybe laugh at the comments some of their members have written.

This week they've excelled themselves and put up a tidy Rover 825 for their well heeled, successful readership to enjoy.

Me and my boss read it every Friday at 10.05am after our 10am rolly break. It's nice enough, but most weeks I roll my eyes and think of a specific example where someone on here has had x car for £££'s less usually!

Cracking watch, although the fact even back then the only real selling point Rover could come up with was their history, its a bit damming really.

Shed of the Wekk is what I get weekly intake on as when my brother and father come home it's all they talk about. I look at them too. I likes the rescued banger racer Rover. Very nice interior

Not Shed of the Week, but a great thread and it really does deliver!

Noted the input from a couple of our regulars on here, some people on there just didn’t get it. My mate once bought an end of life (shagged) Montego for £100 to get him around when the engine went in his TR7, he sold it a few weeks later for £77.50 to four Scottish lads who used it to get back to Scotland from South Wales as it was cheaper than the train. ( he asked them to let him know if it made it, they did and it did)

Top thread, but there really are some knobheads on there, aren't there?

Some awful wankers for sure. I’m convinced Toomany2CV’s is employed by Haymarket! How can you have that many posts and a life?

Maybe not at 10pm in the pissing rain mind. He did well.

The standard PH wanker responses to him are depressing.

He isn't, as far as I know. He just likes arguing with folk.

With regards to the guy on the Blue forum buying the Bini to get home, I was surprised no-one had noticed/made the comment about the Proton Persona in the background of one of his photos.

Then I rememberered it was the Blue fiorum I was now reading and not AS - suspect not a lot of interest from powerfully built directors in Protons

No your right, the fact that he did it at all is fab! And if it's de-barried a bit that mini will probably sell for what he paid for it

That's hilarious and very accurate.

I love Shed of the Week. Especially when it's something like a Metro. The seethe it generates is hilarious.

Some chap was asking about a Ford Puma on here a while ago and I mentioned that my manager was selling a good one down in Dreadhill shortly (although I think he maybe lives in Horsham). The conversation never went any further but the car in question was the shed of the week shortly after:

I um and ah about buying £300 quid shitters so wouldn't be buying a bini for £750 to get home! Still a good read though
