I'm off to upullit today, I need a drivers door seal. I need to try and find a Fiat 500 boot light. (Pandas are wired for one, but never fitted) and I'm going to rip the roof lining off a non-Skydome in the hope that there's no extra bracing. If there's a difference, no roof for me.

Stupid Panpan. Sliced my thumb open at upullit. 

Managed to get two boot lights, a door seal. All for £2.40.

 

A guy said "look at that naughty little panda" whatever that means.

 

Roof wise, I think it's OK... There is extra bracing, but it seems to be a part of the skydome.

 

Oh and @doug accidentally made me a weapon. The little man keyring is rather deadly.

I spotted the Panda as I was heading home from work

I had 30 seconds to spare and so I took a gamble, that failed.

Since Tuesday I've had to use the Tangerine Dream for work.

Anyway I've been away most of the week and I got in today.

 

"Is that your orange and white car?"

"Yep"

I'm not sure I like the assumption that it must be mine.... On Tuesday night I went home in rush hour and I was piss wet through, hair was like Amy Winehouseseses and the car does get attention. I know my car is stupid, but I don't want any head turns today please.

I still laugh everytime I see it though. So I can't be annoyed.

OK, this is out of the dead Alessi. It's a slightly older unit, so no Carplay etc. 

It plays DVD's, whatever they are. And the Alessi has a CD holder... Or a DVD holder if you will. 

It has a removable front which amazed me. It doesn't fit properly, I've took off everything it doesn't need. And the space behind the dash is too tight still.

Not sure if I'm going to keep it yet.

I haven't driven the car in a fortnight and I had to take it to work as the Cactus was in Reno lorry dealer.

 

Anyway, the brakes are binding and the handbrake doesn't work... It'll be fine.

I removed the dvd player. The amount of wires it needs and it was jammed into the dashboard I feared it would burst into flames.

 

I also fitted a used door seal I got a while back... Then smashed the inner door sill to pieces in the aftermath,

I have this physically somewhere, anyway 'Interestingly' the Alessi has an orange facelift grill and the Skydome is an optional extra. (I don't believe any UK cars have it)

I loved it on my 100hp, opened it every time I used the car.

I seem to remember seeing quite a lot of early Dynamic models that had the Skydome but no a/c. Maybe it was one or the other at that time. A/c would win for me, if it was either or.

I drove 20 miles to the only chippy I goto. With the tangerine dream steaming up like a bastard all the way there. The air con clears it instantly, but I hate using the climate as it'll break on me.

Small fish and chips later and it's straight back home.

 

I still love driving mk3s, there's no power whatsoever but it's fun.

I was slightly annoyed, so I checked partsworld and they had a 20% off flash sale. Which includes the crate engine... So, I now have to hide this bastard somewhere. I believe it fits the 4x4 too. Used engines are £150+ with 75k+
