I should add, she is ace though and won't actually do that! :D She knows I've been after a project car for years and this is a really good one to start my shite fettling career on.

Gutted.

Was i the only person lusting after a broken Saab?

This is AS, man ! Most of us really wanted the SAAB !

Perhaps a re-roffle is the way forward ?

Isn't chatsharris having it? If not I'm quite tempted to try and talk Mrs Optix into it...

I'd buy more Saab roffle tickets like a shot.

Many, in fact.

Ah I quite fancied a couple of numbers on this but kept forgetting to ask. Ha!

I'm very keen. Future wife? Not so keen, but I think she's coming around to the idea. I'm just trying to do a bit of research into the running issue to see if it's within my capabilities. At the moment it's looking like I may just crack it!

Go forward good Squire and reap all of the win.

I really wanted to win that Saab.

Unfortunately, that was the only way I could have got it past Domestic Management without castration.

Godspeed sir.

The Long Haired General will find out.

They always do.

I've emailed Ceri and gone for it. I can't wait to get back to the UK and receive this beaut.

There are relatively few cars capable of nomming the miles between Rugby and Brighton as easy as a six cylinder Omega.

Nicely done gigglepin!

Looks kinda badass with the centre caps removed.

Before leaving for the journey southwards, Gigglepin sensibly wanted to check that the locking wheelnut key was both present and the correct one, you know, in case of a puncture or whatever. Of course, in eleven months of ownership I had never taken any such precaution, and was forced to admit I'd never even had the wheels off. Cue breaking the special centre cap removal key on the first attempt at getting one off. Had to resort to tapping the bolts round with a hammer and old screwdriver.

Looks like a great car. I'm loving mine. I prefer the interior of pre-face lift one like yours if I'm honest.
