Yeah true people don't dare use mantas around any damp weather because they will react like a rich tea biscuit around the chassis legs, it looks a clean one from the picture

Got rid of some top soil, shame it was just a rubble sack half full to Alan next door.

Several tons still available, can't give it away.

I'll be walking the streets with it down my trousers Great Escape style at this rate.

Nope, still on a Hunter engine and slightly different suspension which gives it a very attractive smidge of rake.  Owner has a spare Mk1 Escort grille he likes to put on to troll Fordists with.

I think they're Cortina dartboards.  The whole thing does look a lot like a Mk1 Cortina, especially from the A pillar back.

I spluffed a distressingly large amount of money of a cordless grinder. I already have Makita drills and battery packs so just got the bare unit.

Granted, its not as powerful as a mains one, but you wouldnt expect it to be. I just test-drove it on some scrap in the garage and it is actually more powerful than I expected. Ideal for those jobs where you need to cut something at the bottom of the garden and cant be arsed joining 5 extension leads together.

Had a nice run after work over to Helensburgh to pick up a load of veg oil to keep the Skoda running for a while yet. Will be a good source when(if) the Scorpio takes to the road.

What if it's actually the best way to make toast soldiers for dippy eggs?  More experimentation is needed!

After speaking to my bank I noticed an odd DD on my statement from Policy Admin Services, which a quick google shows do insurance for Phones4U. Long story short, I rang them to find I'm been paying £10 a month for a phone I haven't had since 2009! They did however agree to refund over £600 on the spot, so very happy with that.

And yes, I am aware I should have paid a bit more attention to my statements

Had a new windscreen fitted, this morning, after the previous replacement had the heater element wires torn out by the wiper linkage, due to incorrect routing.

The grin? I now have a clean windscreen.

I hate cleaning the inside of car windows!

Kia & Santa Fe need work so off the road, getting fixed next week so my wife hire a wee Citroen C1 or one of its clones.

Anyway, she is using it to run wee one to nursery. Asked her at the lunchtime phonecall if she got the child seat in, says it was hard work but got the front seat back and got it in but it was hard work. I said oh well i can check it when i get home.

Next thing she busts out laughing, looking out the window, i asked whats so funny? Guess the reply? Yep, she said i think its a four door, might be why the seats were hard to move. Class, not laughed so much in ages

Am just about to go to a market research thing that involves tasting whisky. Oh and I'm getting paid for it too...

Just spent today shopping at City Europe and lunching in Calais courtesy of a Eurotunnel £20 day trip offer. I only saw one other old Citroen luxobarge saloon and yes it was on British plates as well. Was that you in the blue XM in the CityEurope car park? I was in the blue DS23.

That would be the sensible and logical thing to do, especially as there's nothing wrong with the 406 and it's never let me down. However uncertainty at work means I'll be keeping hold of it, just in case..........
