Cider is all the rage, because the tax is lower. That's why there's a huge push to make it look cool rather than tramps' juice.

Had a nice day out today though it didn't end exactly too well. We went to a couple if small French villages dotted about trying to catch a car rally that was going on this weekend. Eventually we found it and I found a good spot to take some videos, unfortunately due to the heat, pollen had got the better of megivjng me a runny nose and itchy eyes, then during a video I was taking on my phone, the "possible Lady_Sterling" called, I couldn't make out what she was saying but it was a Syrian number.

After that I felt over-tired and exhausted for some reason so came home.

Did you have your broth?

Did you become immortal?

Did you take on the worst scottish/french accent ever?

Shitefest went well. This is grinworthy. It is also set to start raining for the first time in almost a week. Scotoshite Volvo Massiv were right to cut and run! (initial plan was to stay tonight).

Went a bit mad today and had something of a declutter. Found a couple of (very) old bikes I'd forgotten I still owned, so they're now a little closer to the garage door but probably still poles away from being restored. On top of that I've cleaned 4 cars, and got the buffer on the Corsa which has come up an absolute treat, so I went all out and valeted the interior, too.

Last night, out on the piss and I lobbed £5.00 into a bandit and won £102. That doesn't happen very often (like never) so I celebrated by attempting to drink my own weight in vodka and lager.

Has been taxed lower for ages, it's just that the big beer corp marketing boys had run into a brick wall of ideas until someone said "think outside the box". It's also all the rage because sheep and fashion go in circles.

Most civilisations would count the second pic as normal and more fun. The other appears to be a celebration of eccentric gays.

Just had another spectacular storm blow through. Near continuous thunder, though sadly not much visible lightning. Thunderstorms are great when you're in a house rather than a tent...

"Inside, the Bear Grylls Edition dispenses with the normal Defender’s seats and replaces them with four moss covered logs while the floor is constantly damp and covered in insects. Detail touches in include a central storage compartment stocked with a mysterious bottle of hotel shampoo and what Land Rover terms ‘Bear’s Refreshment Centre’ which, on closer inspection, is actually a flask of piss."

So, in what way exactly is this any different from a standard Defender? Just wondered like.

AA and RAC might as well pack up shop and go home - they will never beat that.

And yet I still managed to sail right past it.  In my defence I was slightly distracted by a pretty brown Rover P6 in the rear view mirror.

I got the job I applied for. Admittedly it was my own job that I've been doing for two years that I was forced to apply for but still, I can relax.

And maybe buy some shite to celebrate.

Went out on the budget singlespeed bike I've been building very slowly for the past 9 months, as it's finally finished, and my mate's just got a fixie, which motivated me to get on with it.

It's ace!

A neighbour (who used to live at the end of the road, having lived on our street for his entire life and in his last house for 50 he upped and left a couple of years ago, moving to the bungalow behind our house!) just knocked the front door.

He had come because he'd knew I'd appreciate his latest purchase: a 1975 stag in primrose(?) Nice old thing, used to belong to his friend. His kids didn't want to inherit it so it was offered to Bleddyn.

He has had in the last 5 years an Austin 8 (he had a long history with this one I think) a 1963 Minor and now this. Not to mention the Jag S type. I think he might qualify for here, no?

Gutted after removing the bonnet badge on my Sd1 - it fell to pieces because it was so well glued on.

If BL had used the same amount of adhesive to seal the windscreens on the things they would never have leaked.

A NOS item is on ebay for £50. Fook that.

However a trawl through my spares box has revealed not one but two of the things - one even still has the lugs on the back.

I never have this much luck, ever - no doubt my next post wiill be "sky falls in on Bren".

You know how all new cars are shit, right?

Well those of you following my plight on FB will know that my Focus has shat its pants again. Instead of going straight to my employer's hire car account, I decided to take Ford Assist up on their offer of a car for 2 days - just to reduce cost of hire afterwards.

I'd like to point out the Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost is a right cracker of an engine, and in fact the car itself is proper nice. Admittedly mine is a Titanium with all the boxes ticked (nav, keyless, heated cow) but the 1 litre turbo makes all the right noises, keeps making them till the shift light comes on, and makes them all over again in the next gear. It's got that odd 3-pot noise at low revs but it's quite bassy when you blip it. All new cars are not shit. I'd like to think they're also not complicated enough to be dead within ten years like diesels often are... yeah it's a turbo, but they've been around since roman times.

Sadly I'm just about to take that back to the garage and collect a bog standard "A" hire car which will probably be a Corsa. Bah.

I drove a Fiesta 1.0T 125 Titanium a little while back, My sister works for a big Fiat/Ford dealers in Turio and came up in it at Christmas, I thought exactly the same as you Pillock, It was a cracker of a engine, proper quick, sounded great and very smooth, My sis reckons it's economical too.

I'm tempted to get one next, It can't be no worse than my TDCi Focus.
