What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

Liverpool is really good for fairly priced parking, unlike Chester and Blackpool, where it's licenced robbery.

Played only my second gig last night. Had a great time. Highlights including our Mitsubishi Delica L400 'tour bus' suffering a sticky caliper, causing the disc to get red hot (freed off with a big hammer) then driving to the gig trying not to brake. Downhill. It was a twmpath or ceilidh, so lots of pretty, dancy types (including my wife) and I only ballsed up one tune (which I'd never actually played before - it was that sort of a night). More please!

I'm picking up some wellers tomorrow, the seller has an ovlov 262......i'll take pictures.

Well i didn't take any pictures as it seemed a little rude, but i did point him in this direction so he may pop his head round the door.

He has a load of fiat x1/9 bits for sale (i can pass on details), he also has a very interesting chod collection........rally prepped tr7, sunbeam alpine, karmann ghia, ex-works mazda 323, the aforementioned volvo, oh yeah and a datsun king cab!

If he does turn up here, and is willing i'll happily go down and take pictures.

Got half a kitchens worth of brand new still boxed panels and worktop for free today. That's the shed workbench and storage and the cupboard in the porch shelved out then!

Small acts of unnecessary kindness make me very happy.

When someone I've never met or spoken to before goes out of their way to help, it restores some of my lost faith in humankind.

So thanks Tayne, very much appreciated.

£60 the pair! I found my autoglym leather shiz too which I haven't used since the Puma so now they look even better!

Just need a house to put them in now...

why house?

Take the first car

Throw front seats away

Bolt in sofa

Fixed.

I figure this would be a downgrade in the Citroen though.

As its around the time of my dog who passed away birthday we bought some dog food and donated it at the dogs home for him, also took a big bag of treat biscuits around and fussed all the dogs. I absolutely loved spending time with the doggies there it really made my Day

I'm finally totally free of Bolsover Council as today I made my final payment on a bill they imposed on me after I'd left the Bolsover house.  Hopefully I can now mentally put that chapter behind me properly, towards the end my life in Bolsover was a great big fuckball of woe and I'd very much like to forget it and get on with more important things... like reposting things people have spotted recently and told me about.

@dugong:  were the things broken but not MoT fails or were they broken Greek dinner service fashion in jubilation at the milestone of getting the Amazon MoT'd?

I'm grinning because twice today, my laptop has looked like this.

Note the clean, uncluttered workspace. Happily, the laptop works! Even though I have many screws leftover... It was in pieces twice, because I'd missed a connector. Sadly, it was in the same sort of place that a heater matrix is on a car, so I had to tear the laptop to pieces again.

Finally got to properly test the air con and it actually works! Still fancy a new car before the summer though

I am almost shaking with rage about something but it would be unwise/unprofessional to air it on here so instead here's a photo I took on Saturday, light haulage 100 (ish) years apart. Cracking run out around the villages (on the engine, not in the canter).

At first glance I thought you must have a parrot as well.

Ms C's friend (young, pretty and female apparently)  has bought herself a new car,  much approval around here.

Even better is the news that a similar one would be welcome here at some point.

I joined this site 3 and a half years ago within weeks of buying my first Citroen,  on the night before I get rid of my remaining BX I achieve the rank of Citroen Ami.
