Adorable!

edit: did your old front door explode?

That door looks like one from where I work. Don't tell me when it falls to bits though.

Eagle eyed or what?

Also, the windows are open, I can tolerate winter without putting heating on, but you are a hard bastard

I have a feeling that's probably the seller's house, seeing as the picture was posted at 2.50pm and Trig wasn't due to collect the car until this evening.

Does that mean the exploding doorway could belong to pensioners that have had nasty builders cause big structural damage and have had melinda messenger and the shouty bald bloke round to cry and ponce free stuff from local shops?

I would think twice about buying a car from someone who thinks that shabby brickwork is an exceptable thing to do to the front of their house.

Not wanting to turn this thread into an in depth brickwork discussion, but it's really not a big job to get a halfway reasonable match on that quantity of bricks - there's really no excuse. It's pretty much on a level with someone who goes into halfords and asks for a can of "blue" paint to paint a replacement bonnet.

I'm not collecting the car until 10am and i'm not buying the house FFS!! You bunch of homeobrickphonics.

Excellent...we look forward to a "thumbs-up-in-front-of-the-crap-brickwork-wearing-a-Christmas-jumper" pic. That'll be the December calendar pic well & truly sorted.

P.S. Nice looking purchase, good luck with the collection :D

Trig, take the seller a gallon of brick acid as a Xmas present.

I blame those dirty foreign bricks coming over here and taking our walls

After a few years they will darken anyway but it does look a rubbish now. But I wonder what the hell happened to the wall?

I reckon that house has had a much larger wooden front door arrangement in the past, and they "gap" has had to be made smaller when the uPVC went in.

How about there used to be a porch over the door, so they're the same bricks, just not as weather worn as the rest of the house.

Or, more likely, the Honey Monster has been humping that door for the last 30 years, preventing the bricks closest to the door from weathering (and there's a big pile of monster jizz on the other side of the letterbox).

His front door also has a somewhat scared look on its face...........

I know what happened to the door. The previous occupant of the house was 93 stone, and needed to go and have a foot amputated, so they hade to knock fuck out of the front wall just to get the corpulent twat outside.

Posted

It looks like a cartoon giant ran straight through it.

I can't believe this front door drama has now made it onto 3 pages!

Well believe it! Look what you've done Trig man.

Could they not have hammered a larger door into the hole?

Posted

Maybe the door blew it's head gasket and they needed to skim the wall
