That will be the last time that Gullwing needs a test after this year, but although it was nice to have it in,knowing its worth almost one million pounds does make you a little nervous when testing it in case you sneeze on it !

God alone knows how, but I passed my Fork Lift Truck test today.

Has he passed his fork lift driver's test? He gives the tests.

We have snow! I have strict criteria for snow: you only have snow if you have enough that you can make a snowball!

Been to watch the new Bond movie, suited and booted, in the Lancia, Overhearing some guys saying, Look at that, he's got THE car...

Just had a visit from my best mate. He's getting promoted to Inspector. He arrived at my house to tell me in an armoured Land Rover like this one:

Fully crewed, six blokes with submachine guns. I bet my neighbours thought WTF is going on! I'm chuffed to bits for him. In the last 15 years he's been stabbed, shot twice, knocked down by a stolen car and nearly killed when a stolen 40 tonner crushed their armoured Vectra against a wall. We're both nearly 40, and have been best mates since we were 3 years old. He saved my life when we were 15 and I crashed into a parked car on my BMX, and swallowed my tongue.

Gives ya a nice fuzzy feeling when you have a good mate like that :D

Well done, your mate. Sounds like the kind of bloke we need more of as senior coppers.

Damn right, he doesn't fuck about. He loves his job, taking down names, kicking in doors and being THE POLICE. That said, he's a caring sort of bloke too. Last Christmas he talked down a chap who was going to jump off a block of flats in North Belfast. One night when I was a copper we got an urgent assist call to an RTA, I was driving (V6 Mondeo). We got there pretty quick, to find my mate delivering a baby in a crashed Metro! The kid was handed over to the ambulance crew in a PSNI hi-vis traffic jacket.

And yes, driving a police car with the lights and siren on is as much fun as it looks!

Hey hey, I actually have something to contribute to this thread....

Yeah, anyway. I was at my mates carwash getting my car cleaned again when a chap in a Alfa Romeo GTV 3.2 V6 pulled up, his car was in for a mini valet which myself and my other mate did (despite only being there to clean our own cars) the fella got talking to me about his car and in turn got talking about mine, then we ended up taking each others cars for a test drive which was unexpected but great. Firstly he took my car out and rated it highly commenting on how smooth it and fast it was. Then he took me out in the Alfa seriously ragging it, he then let me have a go of the Alfa and asked me to floor it which I kindly obliged, it was bloody quick!

Looked exactly like this one, except with full Black leather interior:

So yeah, I rate Italian cars, highly

Went to a toy fair and picked up some 80s Corgi tat. I am particularly impressed with the authenticity on this Escort:

Hey Trig, do you know what happened to that guy who was interested in the Ambo in the scrapyard near me? I messaged him to ask if he had gone to look at it, but he never got back to me. The car has gone now, it's still showing as taxed on the DVLA database (but uninsured) so I'm wondering what's happened to it.

Peter, that is ace! Normally that sort of deterioration isn't so delightfully accurate on toy cars.

Was it 'Southern Softies'? Any good? Not seen it yet. I enjoyed his other 'rockumentaries'.

Bittorrent FTW, and for the Bond movie.

Just wakened up from a really really bad dream. I was in a big tall building, in a stairwell. My girlfriend Patricia was in the stairwell, but behind a pane of glass. She was banging on the glass, screaming "HELP ME!" and there was a big fire behind her. I was trying to smash the glass with my gun, but it wouldn't break and my gun wouldn't fire.

I woke up shaking, and with my heart racing.

The grin? Katie was holding me so tight I thought I'd choke. I woke up to her saying "It's OK, it's OK don't be afraid. Whatever is wrong you can tell me, whatever it is I will always love you. Shh! It's OK"

We humans are so suggestible-my hand feels like I've punched a rock, even though I was only dreaming about hitting a pane of glass. Weird, frightening and lovely all in about 1 minute.
