What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

Yeah Tim, used the Karcher thing. Could have done a better job but only used cold water this time and rushed it a bit.I'd like to recommend the Vectra dizzlers but the 2.0 has fuel pump issues, the 1.9s seem prone to stupid fucking sensor problems and the 2.2 ones scare the shit out of me when they go wrong.Should have stuck with my original plan and got a 1.8 petrol instead.

Wasn't there a 3.2 dizzler Vectra B? Or do I really need to talk to Frank?

There is a 3.something Vectra dizzler, probably quite torquey. If I had a Vectra 3.2 it'd be a petrol one if I could afford the road tax as they're bloody cheap for what they are.Books make me happy again recently. I'm re-reading 'The Last Templar' by Raymond Khoury at the moment. Absolutely fantastic bit of work, in fact probably the best book I've ever read and highly recommended.

What makes me grin ..Sorting the inner arch and seat anchorage points, then applying a nice coat of Sealer on. RESULT !Getting there now :) By this rate it will be all finished next friday

This made me grin today :D

Finding a new grille, bumpers, flying A and other bits for my A35 from someone who was breaking one for spares, parts were really cheap.

Pictures speak 1000 words :)

Nice one AD, tis a class motor that.what made me grin? browsing the web looking for old books, I just saw a couple of 1st editions I own going for £100 & £140 each! I don't plan to sell them any time soon, but as they cost me all of a tenner i'm feeling pretty smug about that.... and it's nice to know that I have something of value to flog when times get tough!

On to finding a car for my son, got a TXT MSG M8 about this off a lad I know. 15 minute train ride, two minute wlak from station and £150 later it's my (or my lad's to be precise). 3/4 tank of fuel, short MOT, new tyres, recent cambelt and original except for spaccy pound shop wheeltrims. Old giffer owned, full on mingebag spec and more than one pensioner-tastic dent on the bodywork.

I think the last owner may have worked in a dusty factory and have an aversion to hoovers but that was soon sorted out...

That's not bad for the money but for me, any MK3 is win in my book!

Mine is currently undergoing spring renovations.

Getting my mates 1.8cvh Sierra through it's MOT.......only failed on emmisions, but that might be because the tester had it set on an Injected CVH with cat  .........computer says NO, retest as correct engine=PASS........ :D:D

or a run around Southwell.

..Southwell is usually worth a run through, I like to take a diversion that way for potential totty etc..Apparently there's a few supercars resident, but not seen anyway. Worth a quick look at what overly expensive Sherwood Restorations have in stock too. Good on 'em for still going though

How do you turn a dog into a fox? 10 pints of Old Speckled Hen.

10 pints of OSH is impossible.

You aren't trying hard enough.

That sounds like a very successful day. 2 questions:1. What do you grow down the allotment?2. What did the good lady make for tea?

1. We've got onions and garlic in at the moment. O/H Planted broad bean plants out today and sowed parsnip seeds. Got seed potatoes to go in, leek seedlings when it's time and we will plant runner beans and brussels as well. Plus things like carrots, radish Ect. We usualy do well with strwberries and rasperries, and had plenty of cougettes and squash last year. Oh, and chichory 2. Chicken, stuffing, potatoes, chichory (see above!), cabbage, runner beans (own grown) and carrots. And gravy. And red wine. :D. And I found a packet of chocolate bourbons in the cupboard I didn't know we'd got...
