What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

Trig, your crane photos scare the shit outta me. At that kind of height I'm a gibbering wreck (even more than usual!) and you manage to operate a crane and hardly ever squash anything.

What made me grin last night - me and a couple of mates were at a local auction house looking for ex-display office furniture (which we bagged for a song: new office laserjet/scanner/fax/copier etc £18 among it)

Some Twatley McTwat arrived in with his iPad, obviously trying to see what comparable items went for online. He couldn't get a signal, and was wandering about waving this thing in the air, to no avail. The auctioneer told him to sit down or get out. EVERYONE burst out laughing, and quite a few applauded. Funny as fuck.

Yeah i see your point!, And if you like driving cranes so much then you should have drove mine earlier when i had 4 Stobart lorries queuing up under me wanting these shitty 45 foot pallet wide boxes, grumble grumble... (The lorry drivers amongst you should know what I'm talking about).

The Dibble are very confused...

Yes, good news. I wish I had good news.....

Good news Pete! Very odd though.

They loaded all the stuff into the van (which they also nicked), then drove the van somewhere and parked it thinking it wouldn't be spotted, which it was, within a few hours of it being nicked. Bikers found it and informed ourselves and Dibble.

When there are a few hundred pissed off people looking for something, it tends to turn up.

Y'know, I havenae felt this low for fucking years.

Really.

But.

One post on the grump forum, one PM reply from Chase, and I proper feel stacks less low. Stacks.

It's weird this here forum eh? We're all nuts for ancient/classic/unloved/awful/disturbing vehicles. But. There is no doubt to the community of it. Aye - arguments and fucking grumpy cunts givin' off stink etc. But - that'll happen anywhere.

No joke kids - I ackcheloi DO hide in here as a rule. Makes sense. Hitting an old car part with a hammer makes more sense than my crap halfassed emotions.

Hey - I'm talking to you lot right now (Pink Floyd - The Wall playing in background), drinking cider, and feeling shite. Not anyone else.

Still.

I was BUSTING my arse to make the craic about the stolen HIAB thread.

Volsky - I know you too felt the pain.

I was hoping someone in a rusty MK4 Escort hitched the truck and disappeared into the sunset.

Cheers guys.

CUNTS.

I've seemed to had a bit off interest on my flickr yesterday, first i had Top Gear email me asking if they can use a few photos for a trailer and car feature on their website and then I've had 12300 hits in the one day, mostly on a Talbot advert!

Well Top Gear have done the feature, my photos are numbers 6 and 11 but i can't see any sign of the credits they said they would give me.

Lesson. learned. I think I'll change my privacy settings on flickr as well so people can't copy them too. Fuck em.

I know, I've found exactly the same thing over the last few weeks. It's really helped me. I know I've said this before, in the specific thread, but: Thanks guys. Can't say that enough. :D

Slightly odd thing to make one smile. Just got my Dad's will sorted out last week... I am surprised... I thought he had pissed it up the wall. I just bought a new laptop... £430. I pay less for my cars!

A Budweiser fished out from the back of the refridgerator and supposedly two years out of date tastes exactly the same as it did when it had the 'freshest taste'

Result ! Top class fizzy brown water !

Did they not even ask you?!, That is rude, I sent Rowan from Top Gear a moody email pointing out my unhappiness, that will show them.

I am still pretty peeved myself, I was well chuffed about my photo (and yours) appearing on TGs website.

However, not all doom and gloom, I did once get a photo printed in the AC owners club magazine, they sent me a free copy as well as crediting me, which was nice.

I was asked about the photo, made a change to be messaged about that rather than the location of the bloody AE86 I keep getting asked about...

Apparently this was designed by Honda for the new film High Noon

The work of designers Wojtek Bachleda, Taryn Dyle and Raj Rihal finds itself "hundreds of years into the future" in a parched, ye-olde-Western-style environment that is the result of a gigantic comet which has caused widespread drought and devastated infrastructure and technology around the globe.

The vehicle is said to combine "both the character and simplicity of a horse" with "the latest structural and technological innovation". Giddyup.
