Listed a dc04 for sale earlier and have got a dc50, a vax washer and 2 unknown dysons coming in this weekend for repair. Anyone would think I don't pimp my services on Facebook enough as it is!

DC04 hasn't sold though...

I'm still working on retrieving whatever the hell that mystery 70s Hoover is off my mate in Leeds for you.....

My wife was watching "The Chase" quiz show yesterday before the evening news.

Went along the lines of -

Question to contestant who is a student at the University of Wales

-"What is the home city of someone descibed as being Dundonian?".

Contestant -"Cardiff".

Just had a look at quotes for the MX5, for me and the Mrs it is £111, add Chuck on a provisional and it goes up to about £390, then tried with a full licence and it went up to £596 which is amazing really!

These are all on Confused so I expect them to change slightly* when it comes to actually insuring it.

Watching James martin's French adventure in itv catch-up on my new tv ( for the Keith floyd 2cv content ) there are no advert breaks! It pauses for a second, displays the title and moves on. It's the way to watch commercial tv from now on I tell you!

The esteemed Cavcraft in the eBay tat thread. The observational parody verse should either put him in the running for poet laureate or a nomination for an OBE

Eye and symmetry rhyming has always rankled me though.

Complete shit? How very dare you.

I'll have you know, that when I was about 8 or 9 , my headmaster called my mum in to discuss my mental wellbeing. Me and my mate Pete had insisted to everyone, including teachers we would only answer to Danny and Lord Brett.

I was traumatised years later when I discovered the DBS was actually 6 with V8 wheels and badges, perhaps Old Baldy Barnes was right about my mentalness.

Call that traumatised?

Ive just discovered that Luk Skywalkers landspeeder was really a Bong Bug with fucking 45 degree mirrors to hide the wheels. What a waste of a bug.

I know it's a simple typo, but I love the idea of a Bong Bug

I think he really really likes that Bug. Even the woman across the street's noticed. She's off to call Zed Cars and have him arrested.

And that's not a real Bong, that's a cheap copy built on the floorpan of an Earnshaw Diamond!

There's a five stroke oval-pistoned Yue Loong Feeling Horsey Horseless limited edition in the background, too.

Proper quality cars, those.

Outside fitting my new Trupart wiper blades, and idiot neighbour has double parked his M3 by the Rover yet again, and he's out talking to a couple with a 54 plate Astra.

Turns out they're buying his 14 plate Octavia VRS wagon, that just sits on his drive doing nothing but getting washed every week.

Good, if he's only got one car the fuckwit hopefully won't double park any more (I've no idea why but he's incapable of parking on the pavement outside his own house, and insists on double parking me instead).

edit: he's not even paid it off yet!

You can see chez Ghosty in the background, and his M3 parked outside the wrong house.

Just come from Stoke down the a52 back road to swinscoe. Lovely road with good views of road ahead and sweeping open bends. Ideal for exploring the handling of the van all while I was still 10 mph under the speed limit of the road. And yes the van doesn't handle too bad overall.

I've got a parrot kit that can't pronounce anything.

I got so bored of having to ask it to call Anne Swerr Phone to get my messages that I changed the name to Voice mail.

"Do you want to call Voice er mayil?

Who knows what it would do with Welsh.

Try asking Amazon echo for BBC Radio Cymru!

After several attempts and being offered radio comedy, radio comrade(?!?), Radio 1extra and various others, I tried saying

"BBC Ray-di-o Kim-Roo"

To which it said "BBC Radio Cymru on tune in", pronouncing the Cymru part perfectly!

The iPhone actually gave up completely on some of the place names and decided they weren't actually words but really long acronyms, so spelled them out, which was mildly comical in itself.

I tried the Kindle read on my Samsung S5 once, one of the words it'd spell rather than pronounce was a very rarely used word.... 'the'.
