What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

It was about 7 years ago I sold it. I think I might even know where it is.

Shite reunited?

It looks better than the 4i I was going to have 7 years ago, the one I looked at was rotten under the rear bumper, the rear bumper clip mounts had gone as well, that's without mentioning other areas of rot on the car, someone had butchered its non sunroof roof with a pop up glass one that leaked and the inner wings were ripe with rot

The fact he wanted strong money for it which I would have paid if it wasn't rotten, you got to know when to walk away :-)

What are you waiting for?  Everyone loves a good rescue mission / lost love reunited story with a happy ending.  Doubly so if there's added scope for POO jokes.

And happy birthday Dave Chaseracer, you don't look a day over 49.  (Actually I think you look younger than me, so I'm going to wind my neck back in now.)

How old are you again?

Can't remember.

A personal tradition is inflicting tinsel on my cars in December.

Even Dr Leggy the parcel-shelf spider plush has got in on the action.

Modern cars are quite difficult to decorate.

Discovering that open-top motoring in December isn't actually cold if you put the heater on and wear a woolly hat.

Dropping the Kia off for an MOT failure tomorrow, and having to dodge a Renault Laguna on the back of a truck to find the proprietor in the darkness from the sound of him playing the keyboard.

Made up for an otherwise shit day, that did.

A Rover 400 based on the 1989 Rover 200 is not a modern car?

Discuss.

Or Don't.

It has electric windows, electric mirrors on the doors, plastic body coloured bumpers and power steering.  It is a modern car.

Most of that was available in the 60s.

Where's the dual mass flywheel, electronic handbrake, auto stop/start,30 airbags, particulate filters, Keyless entry, Bluetooth connectivity, Park assist, hid headlights with led running lights etc etc etc

It's not a modern :-)

New tumble dryer.

Naturally this is considered exciting now I'm a mother in my 30s.

The best bit though is that it was free!!!!

Our perfectly functioning but ever so slightly rusty old one was one of the models that was recalled last month for a fire risk. Initially they said an engineer would come and modify our machine but the next phone call was to arrange delivery of a new one!

I got the exact same email. Here's hope I get a new one too.

Moar Fezza shots please! So much like my first car it actually hurts. It had two of those wheel trims IIRC, and another two different styles.

It's Facebook

Despite their good intentions this will probably backfire on them somehow
