Got a pretty easy conditional offer for a transfer from Uni of Wolverhampton to Man Met for the rest of my course, so two months' work and I'm studying from home next year.

Fuck. Yes.

I'm off on a shite adventure tomorrow incorporating collection of a complete Renault 6 exhaust, a pair of Peugeot front seats and delivery of a Transit seat which also involves shiters TheMoog and Krujoe.  Should be a fun day out.

Similarly I am still trying to find time to watch a welsh drama about the miners strike, the 10mins I did catch had some pretty cool street dressing in the background, maxis and the like.

pride? Watch it, it's really good and I would be very surprised if Fred wasn't involved somehow.

You know how anything involving Only fools and horses is usually a grump on here

Not Pride, but I really want to see that, its out on DVD soon I think?

This was an S4C one off drama about the miners strike told from the point of view of a high school age daughter of one miners, or something. Stuff like this on S4C tends to be very, very well done.

(Why BBC 4 doesn't show any S4C stuff with subtitles is beyond me. I have seen some great telly since learning Welsh).

Heading back home from Kent in the Maestro, I'd not long joined the M2 and was coming up to the Faversham junction, when I saw what I thought was a Montego in the distance!

Obviously I put my foot down to catch up with the car, which turned out to be a very tidy, gold, B reg Rover 213!

As I passed the Rover I bipped my horn and waved at the driver, who gave me a wave back, although he was an older chap, so I'm not sure if he was an enthusiast or a long term owner. It was in fantastic condition though, no rust at all that I could see.

If you like gritty dramas about miners' strikes you might like The Happy Lands although it's set in 1926 so shite spotting opportunities are limited. There are only, I think, two actual actors in it, the rest of the cast is mostly people playing their own grandparents.

The little donkey Polio passed test today with no advisories, as it should having had £400 spent on it first. Only consumables really,- tyres, pads and discs all round, exhaust so fairy snuff at 15 years old and 140k I guess. I know there's not much Vw love on here but it's tidy, pleasant, cheap on fuel and has become an excellent pool car. Why does a light 1.4D car need rear discs though please?

Left a couple of cheeky bids at my local low rent action for two dehumidifiers. Got one for £6 and the other for a tenner. Tested them at the auction and they hummed so I guessed they were working. Plugged them in in the garage last night and both work no problem.

SWMBO is out shopping with her mum today whilst I did some overtime. She's just sent me this and asked if she did good... post-4240-142635547902_thumb.jpg

Just received an email from a potential purchaser of my orange 2cv. Not only did it not include *any* text speak, it had a semicolon. In the right place.

I'm in shock.

Renault 6 exhaust collected from a top chap, well worth the trek out just to meet him in fact.

ORANGE Transit seats and squishomatic oh-so-comfortable Peugeot seats stolen collected from TheMoog's campervan with the biggest back step.

ORANGE seats delivered to Krujoe-on-the-hill with a wander around to perv on some autoshite and get a ride in the Jellybean Pleasure Wagon Joyful Canopy.  Mikeknight and I were also introduced to some delicious tea that is also electric blue, we even got a free sample!  Can't get better than that.

Is it actually impossible to meet an unpleasant Autoshiter?

I'm going to buy something off Krujoe just so I can have blue tea and a ride in the Joyous Pussy Wagon Shimmery Tiptop.

I gather it's Mrs Krujoe's tea really, but she's just as lovely as Mr Krujoe so was fine with letting samples of her stash go.  It's like ALCHEMY, because we also got a tea that's bright red!  I swear I'm not making this up.

I quite like it, but cars are a little too demanding on my time right now :(

Examples of semicolon placement in lists are:

  • at the end of this line;
  • and one word before the end of this one; but
  • not at the end of this one.

I'm gonna try that tomorrow, in honour of the impeccably styled Vulgalour, who came a-calling today, bearing gifts, accompanied by the long-suffering Mike_Knight.

Thanks also to TheMoog, who donated a pair of seats to Sis_KJ's Transit. She's not called Fred.

Any shitters visiting the area may call in for the hill-top shite tour and tea of a colour of your choosing. T&C's apply.

A bit of this:

And a bit of this: (Red line is old boost. Black line is new. Y axis roughly is PSI*10)

A bit of this:

And the car still runs. It has more boost and the engine hasn't exploded! Plus I made it do popping noises on overrun cos I'm a flipping manchild and it was quite straightforward.

I still have a lot of injector duty cycle left (OK, well 10%) and the inlet temps are fine so theres room for more. Even on the first try it's a load better than the "stage 1" map that the previous owner spent £300 on. I'm proper enjoying this, I can mod cars while sat in the warm attic in my underpants.

Must be the weekend for meeting up. I have remembered that I also own an XM. It is travelling to Gloucestercestershire tomorrow to meet Herr Schmitt for a roof replacement service. I come home in the fantastic Ami 6. On Monday, I have the biggest dilemma of my life trying to decide what to drive to work in. Fab Nippa, bonkers Ami or 2CV that has one month of life left in it.
