I'm sure it'll wipe off easily enough.

That's what Bill Clinton said, and look how that ended.

Heaven forbid it's someone who has actually managed to make a success of their life and takes pride in being able to afford nice things. Sorry, but mindless vandalism in the name of jealousy really boils my piss :(

Seeing as we know nothing about who did it and who ownes the car can we avoid guessing if it was mindless vandalism of a nice sucessful person or of a total Jimmy Saville style c***bucket.

Indeed. Why is it 'fun' to vandalise posh folk's property?

I'm not vindictive enough to enjoy the vandalism, but I am childish enough to appreciate the juxtaposition.

Offered to give a girl from my course a lift back, and when she saw my car she exclaimed "wow, didn't think we'd be going in a posh sports car!"

Mother in law rang before.

She is decorating, painting internal doors which involved removal of the handles.

She rang to enquire as to if one of us could let her out of the living room, seen as she had closed the door leaving the handle on the other side.

Did you pull then?!

Fuck me, about a week ago I was seriously considering getting a loan to buy a (fast) Corsa. What the hell was I thinking?

Anyway I didn't.

No. Although my amusing anecdote from the course is that we had to do role play were I had to read out a hypothetical problem to another person and then state how I thought they reacted. I thought she was playing the role of someone listening without interrupting, but turns out her task was to flirt with me and I completely missed it.

I'm more curious as to what the 'posh sports car' was and have images of something like this.

The 406 Coupe. Which can't be posh since it has a Peugeot badge on it and cost me £700, and is about as sport as sitting at home and watching darts on tv

Darts are a sort of sport...

I don't know how or why, but the glowplugs on the Xantia are now FINE.  I'm wondering if it was maybe stale fuel (veg) from it being sat around doing next to nothing for a few weeks that's the cause.  Now it's back in regular use there's nothing wrong with the glowplugs.  One less thing to buy at least.

Luckily common sense must have prevailed, it'd be madness to get a loan to buy a Corsa.

Especially because you can buy a really nice one at a bargain price, without needing to get a loan!

We should all carry smelling salts in case of suffering an urge to borrow money for a Corsa

Yes it's wrong to vandalise someone else's property. Maybe the owner did it himself as either a pre-emptive strike, or a kind of double bluff to prove he wasn't driving the veyron as a penis substitute?

We all know that it was Partridge, who in a drunken state thought it was a cubical wall in a Tescos toilet, it's easy to see where he made that mistake.

I know which I'd rather have, and it isn't the Nova.

This was an actual proper limited edition car released by Vauxhall (just minus the C20LET, intercooler and Morrette lights):

The thing that non-car people will never understand, is the owner (probably) has it because they enjoy driving.

That car cannot be replaced with a fucking Nissan Juke etc.

These people just seem to think a supercar is one that looks 'flash' and they don't realise it is also head and shoulders above in every other area.

The same vandal would probably have taken offence to a yellow MG ZR. Only a yellow one, mind.

Wasn't it called the 'Fly' or something like that? I have a feeling there were two Nova convertibles, one sort of sporty looking and one standard.

Opel Corsa Spider! Think it was styled by Irmscher, I think it's quite nice looking.

Just won a pair of brand new, Citroen boxed rear lights for the BX for £1.20 :-D I'm often having to clean the contacts for the bulbholders, as it seems like the protective plating has all corroded away. No more problems, for the next 15 years at least...

Merc added to PJ multicar policy for .... £42, including admin fee.

That would be the Fiesta convertible.

Seeing the Jago again in the gloom on the A435 at 7:30am, so that brave soul is probably using it as a winter beater of distinction.

Also saw a Citroen H van on the way home in my rear view mirrors, pulled over so that they could pass me and I could get a closer look.

Short wheelbase and looked lowered but apart from that very tidy.

^^^ I've got that Fiesta Fly brochure in the loft somewhere. Ill dig it out and do a scan when I get a chance.
