richardthestag Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Last Friday evening saw a range rover a framing a new looking beavertail truck east bound on the m4 not far from Newbury. Made me chuckle, would have posted sooner but for obvious reasons
Mr Lobster Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 The NEC. Obviously couldn't post about it sooner. Had a cracking day out on the Sunday, managed to get a SEAT Malaga range brochure off the £1 brochure stand and came home really motivated to get something done!
cms206 Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Mum gets up this morning. "Morning ma'. Larry Hagman's died." (she loved Dallas)"Aww naw. He was a fair age though. Did he leave his eyebrows to anyone?"
HillmanImp Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 A chap in Halfrauds just asked the girl behind the counter to 'put some oil in my car because the light on my dashboard has come on'. During these few words he lost so many man points he practically grew tits right before my eyes.
Pillock Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 That's alright, it's balanced out by Mrs Pillock knowing which oil to use, where to put it, and how much is enough. Sometimes I feel a little bit gay when she does things like that.
Cavcraft Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Handily enough my bird now knows exactly where to spray Asda Eau de minge un sac (other deodorants available) into my 306 to make it start.
Rod/b Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 The fact that Cavette has a cat called Dave and his neighbour has a dog called Geoff.

phil_lihp Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Fixed the fuel gauge on the Nova, more or less by accident. Gently prised the dial binnacle out of the dashboard with the intention of checking the connections on the back and the perspex cover popped off, so I prodded and poked the dials and found the fuel dial was stuck - flipped it back and forth until it freed up, switched the ignition on and bingo. I actually only went into the garage to check on the drying battery tray primer and the paint I applied this morning to the wheels (big improvement) and this somehow morphed into dismantling bits of the dashboard. This has been the highlight of my day and I'm a little ashamed.
Spiny Norman Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Watching the replay of the Brazilian GP, Kimi Raikkonen getting lost up an escape road and having to do a U-ey to get back on the track.
morris_ital_lover Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Watching the replay of the Brazilian GP, Kimi Raikkonen getting lost up an escape road and having to do a U-ey to get back on the track. I'm still not entirely sure what I saw that race, apart from pretty much everything possible. It seemed a good metaphor for the season... started and ended with a McLaren, a midfield team mucking around during the middle of the race, Lewis having to retire, Kimi providing some fun, and ultimately the quiet consistency of Red Bull and Ferrari being the deciding factor. It was one of my favorite races that I've ever had the pleasure to sit through.
Felly Magic Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 I like watching Photonicinduction cock about in his loft, blowing things up, and generally being a mentalist.

michael t Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Watching the replay of the Brazilian GP, Kimi Raikkonen getting lost up an escape road and having to do a U-ey to get back on the track. haha that bit was brilliant, as was the rest of the GP, shame for Alonso, he definately had a shite car throughout most of the season compared to Vettel.

Pillock Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 I looked over to see a newish Corsa VXR, "either of the green ones will do, don't touch the black one" I told her (in a slightly patronising voice). She walked back to it, started putting petrol in and as I walked to the kiosk shouted "I've got a diesel you know". Just for a laugh, I'd have waited till she was nearly finished filling it up and then rushed over and said "Oh my god, you didn't put it in there did you???"
RedSparrow Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 This absolute hero has uploaded the entire catalogue of many great TV shows, including Gamesmaster and Knightmare http://www.youtube.com/user/DynamiteHeaddy Holy shit I have just been signed off work sick for a week - you have saved me from dieing from boredom! Thanks!
M'coli Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Tonight, 3 of my 4 Open Uni results for the last year have come through - all passed. The 4th is going to be a fail - bastard hard maths, beyond the level that I need but the only maths course I could start in February - but am now doing the correct maths course so it's in hand. Just the Maths to go and it's degree time!
eddyramrod Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 What made me grin? Setting off to work in my Granada this afternoon (OK, technically yesterday afternoon, I know...) and finding a mk2 Granada following me!
STUNO Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 ^^^^^^^^^ Eddie, After what you have been through, I would think that just setting out for work would make you smile
cort16 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 The arrival of a juicy cheque from a PPi claim from a loan I had 10 years ago. I should spend it on something sensible but it'll probably end up getting spent on existing shite or new shite.
eddyramrod Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 ^^^^^^^^^ Eddie, After what you have been through, I would think that just setting out for work would make you smile You're not wrong there! You won't find many people so pleased to be working 33 hours a week in a bakery for minimum wage, especially given my outdoor proclivities.
vulgalour Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I was startled by the moonlit tonight too, absolutely fantastic stuff! Also, I had girls in my car. They *asked* for a lift and nattered away like anything all the way to the pub. If I weren't a big flaming gay it could've been exciting.
Lankytim Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I went out to feed the rabbits tonight and noticed the clear star-filled brightly moonlit sky too. An airliner was making its way across the sky at high altitude and its vapour trails were lit up by the eerily bright moonlight. Absolutely beautiful.
whitevanman Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Hey Ian, you've caught the frost on the bonnet well in that pic
M'coli Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 The moon is tip-top tonight as has been mentioned - as is Jupiter, just to its left.
autofive Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 just been out to lock the car - its like daylight out there, but car windows are already iced up
