willswitchengage Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 ^^It looks like we have a new forensic identification challenge!
Richard Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 It does have a fairly unusual feature that is visible in that picture, though not in the right place.
Craig the Princess Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 What, the plastic bonnet? And I think the plastic bootlid in the car. I could do with that sun-visor too.
cobblers Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 mirrors, doors, strut tops and exhaust fannymould look like AX too.
Richard Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 It is an AX, I knew it wouldn't take long. It's a 3 door though, you can tell because it doesn't have door handles.
STUNO Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Put my house on the market today. Plans include a trip to UK !
richardthestag Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 I take it all back about fucking celebs in jungle shows. Mrs the stag watches this shit and I am reading.... Until I heard Helen Flanagan and that mp woman having to eat camel toe. 2 seconds of amusement in a series has got to be worth it?
Cavcraft Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Just a snippet from Mr B on R-R 'If you need to breathe or drink a glass of water while doing this, then do so, thats very important.'
Guest Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Just a snippet from Mr B on R-R 'If you need to breathe or drink a glass of water while doing this, then do so, thats very important.' Brrr, that bloke reminds me of the sort of willfully thick punter I used to have to 'help' in my call centre days.
retrogeezer Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Class replies on that thread folks....12/10.
Guest Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 RR is an unintentional comedy goldmine at the moment. That tit with the Sunny Coupe that'll do 151 mph and he's not hearing any arguments because he was brought in a family of mechanic's [sic] and has all the FACT'S [sic]. What a cock.
Cavcraft Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Guessing this is the Sunny one http://retrorides.proboards.com/index.c ... 901&page=1 Edit: 'I was bought up in a family of engineers and scientists and i'm just letting you know your car is defying the laws of physics'
richardthestag Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Cheers that was fun, the pawnage at the end was brillant.
Cavcraft Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 I hopes someone pm's him and asks him back on the thread.
richardthestag Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Not only did the "OMG how's do you postings pictures please? 01547 540880" amuse me greatly but it seems that he got a grip and produced this thread http://retrorides.proboards.com/index.c ... ead=140213 Going to be a good show I think and for all the right reasons
Guest Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Timperley's about a mile from where I live. RIP Frank Sidebottom, you mad bastard.
CortinaDave Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 finding out today my ex girlfriend who buggered off a while back left me right in the shit and let our flat get reposessed, has paid off the mortgage shortfall - 23 grand! No idea how shes found that kind of money - nott heard a word from her in three years but got a letter today from the mortgage co to say she's cleared the lot. Sweet! No more debt collectors chasing me. Lesson learned though - no more joint mortgages for me - not that I'd be likely to get one anytime soon I imagine!
retrogeezer Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 that TFMoggy thing is pretty bloody awesome.....until the inevitable HGF.
RedSparrow Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Oof! So he's shit with computers but bloody hell thats some awesome metal work!
PhilA Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Guessing this is the Sunny one http://retrorides.proboards.com/index.c ... 901&page=1 Edit: 'I was bought up in a family of engineers and scientists and i'm just letting you know your car is defying the laws of physics' Funny. There's something amusing about defying the laws of physics in a shite Nissan- had an F reg 1.6LX Bluebird saloon- CA16S 8v carb model. Not sure if I had a following wind or if the stretch of road was downhill (shouldn't have been it was out over marshland) but I had it to 135 on the speedo at about 5500 RPM. Judging by the GPS readings at lower speeds it was fairly accurate (let's say I made it to 125) that's still "impossibru!" for a motor with a book peak power output of 85hp... yet it did it and still had more to go. Probably another 5-10mph over what it was doing. The engine was in rude health though with the valves set, timing cock-on etc. To this day I have no idea how it managed to go that fast. I'll claim it didn't and only made the factory top-speed of what, 93(?) instead to save argument. --Phil
Cavcraft Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Talking of which I've just found a message from that lad on my R-R inbox thing: 'Thanks,The thing is that I concentrate my mind on practical issues and the satisfaction of old fashioned hard earned graft in overcoming problems. All I've tried to do is build a halfdecent ride from stuff which by now would have been turned into Chinese takeaway parcels or potnoodle spoons. I know what most members on this site are choosing and although potnoodles are tasty after twenty minute and a cup of tea it's forgotten If you think my TFMoggy is crap then plaese say so. No hard feelings ATB Jonny' I have to confess I haven't a clue what he means by that (i.e whether he's having a dig or not) but his (car) work seems exceptionally good. Unless he's wrecked a lowlight Morris in which case I won't be so happy.
willswitchengage Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Two of the workshy fucks I live with took today off for having "colds", and obviously still didn't have any time to do their backlog of washing up, take the bins out (instead letting it overflow onto the floor) and lock the front door...
Albert Ross Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Why not dump the washing up and bins against the front door, so they have to move it before they can get in....
retrogeezer Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 someone has posted this on another forum I frequent, now this fella is on a fat wage as an architect or something - the mind boggles: Im thinking of coming off grid and want to start small rather than plough loads of money into going solar. So am looking to wiring up a small bank of car batteries in the boot of my car to charge up when driving during the day so i can come home and hook one up to the light circuit in my house. Will be swapping my bulbs out for low energy LEDs to ease the drain. So wondered if there are any electric experts on here who would know the best way to do it. Once this is sorted i want to try alternatives to power the fridge/freezer, water heater and electric shower.
Mr_Bo11ox Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 ^^^ Brilliant, pay fuel duty on the energy used to power the light bulbs in your house! GENIUS!
