We shall see what happens... I'm not going to get my hopes up too much, it is for sale on eBay after all, but it would make a nice birthday present to myself.

That ain't no Samara, it's a ZAZ 11055.

Aye, there's lots of Tavrias out here.

I'll try and get some pictures of Volga Estates today.

Looked a bit like a 205 with a homemade grille to me. Maybe the French writing deceived me!

they showed a clip of only fools and horses on the news last night because that twonk that made the Reliant hearse was on it. In the background was an FSO Polonez!

On the commute home (which took twice as long, because I chose to go a different way, more fool me) I was being tailgated rather ferociously by a Vauxhall. I know it was a Vauxhall because the grille badge was all I could see in my rear view mirror. He was so aggressive that for the first time ever I pulled over and stopped to let him past. Now normally that would be a grump, but for the fact that I then ended up following him at a healthy distance because no matter how aggressive he was, the Range Rover that had been in front of me kept moving into his way and sticking religiously to the speed limits most of my way home. Brilliant.

A surprising turn of events now means I'm allowed to bid on that Mayfair Maestro I was lamenting missing out on earlier. How exciting!

Looks a really nice example. Good luck!

I've been fighting fire with fire with Gumtree users and quite enjoying it. One twerp offered me £50 less than an asking price of £85 for a bike because he lives 35 miles away so I just told him no chance and asked why on earth I'd knock money off because he wasn't local. Then he started mailing back asking my best price so I just copied whatever he said and changed 'price' to 'offer'.

I've been using this to good effect with various morons on there the last day or so and it's getting quite a good laugh now. I never feel that I've won though until someone sends me a mail saying 'I was going to come down tonight with the full price in cash' or 'Fuck it, I don't want to buy it now' as you always know you've finally got to them when they do that.

Stuffs that make up for an otherwise tedious (people turning out into the road, then immediately indicating right, and not using the box if there is one): Seeing a pikey woman get caught doing the old five finger discount in Tesco Express, and a shiny new MAN TGL break down on the forecourt :)

Also, that interview with the Polish head of FA woman or whatever at about five to eight last night, she woz getting well angry at mr interviewer's increasingly moronic questions

Discovered my grandmother's non-functioning sewing machine was headed to the dump. Naturally I couldn't stand for a broken thing being thrown away, so I stepped in. Turns out it was just seized up from decades of sitting idle, a little dismantling and re-lubrication got it running. It cleaned up nice too.

I've got nothing to sew so I guess it goes back in the cupboard for another 20 years :)

Mine is near the window :P

Great save on the sewing machine. They do come in handy, even if it's just for curtains and car upholstery.

My wife has converted her old sewing machine to treadle power! She doesn't seem to have made much on it yet though...

Bus driver on the way home showing NO MERCY for other motorists, the speed limit, the middle divider line or prospective passengers without the correct change. Needless to say I got home in record time. He even honked the shiny Scania air horn a couple of times.

Sorted my mate's "irrepairable" (according to the o2 store Apple Genius) iPhone 3GS. Got her pics off it, too. The Apple guy must be some genius - I know fuck all about them and I still did better than him. Seems it was the same guy who once told us you can't get email outside a 3G area on any phone - I showed him the emails on my old BlackBerry 8310, which isn't even a 3g handset.

Final score: Me 2 : 0 o2 Bloke. SMUG AS FUCK! :D:D:D
