It’s an awful thing because you do feel overwhelming peer pressure to move forward to allow them through, yet if you do you get screwed.

My brother had one of those 40 years ago as he only had a bike licence. What a hiddeous thing to be in. Noise, smelly, unstable, slow, rattley, creaky... Absolute death trap. I've never bin in on since.

Seems like the final hurrah of the 1950's American post-war dream right there (Crown Vic still went on of course).
