No doubt it's appeared on the thread before but I ended up watching this because I fell into an internet rabbit hole; BBC Arena - The Private Life of the Ford Cortina.

I remember watching that in 1982 when it was made. It also features the brilliant Alexi Sayle and music by Brian Eno.

I have an original BBC VHS of that programme (used for broadcasting to best of my knowledge) came direct from them.

Years ago when this surfaced on here, I'm sure it transpired that our very own @tooSavvy was the bloke who appears at around 10 minutes in with his wife, narrating their 'love letter to the Ford Cortina', complete with cine film footage.

It's an oft-repeated fact, only uttered slightly less than the royal link to Scimitars but can the member in question verify?

I've posted this guy on the electric thread a few times and had no interest, but I think he has a great angle...

As per tradition I have to call @eddyramrod to the video phone.

Yes it is a CF2 with the wrong engine. BUT is is a 4x4.

Ex MOD Bedford CF 4x4 resurrected.

Seems like the sort of guy who really should be on this website. Anyone heard of him?

It's a cold January afternoon, you're in your late 40's, you fancy crawling around under a Freelander on your drive for several hours? Props for his enthusiasm.

Ovlovs getting a spanking. If you're lucky you'll spot Tim Wantacock and David Dickinhand transporting some minger vases.
