Does anyone know if Richard Grant or similar did a Tailblazer/Heckblende for the Rover 200/400?  I'd like one, but I have this feeling it doesn't exist.

Whenever someone mentions the Safari I always think of Master Rallye:

i think the world had moved on by then- you could always look for the body coloured panel rover did later on

Mate up the road has had an oil leak on his Cavcraftesque T-reg Corsa, I knew it was an oil pressure switch but not much else. A bit of digging around has found that this is a common problem and so easy, cheap and simple to change, a blade of grass could change it. So I've ordered the switch as it was very, very cheap and hopefully see it back on the road in a few days time.

I always try and put my dysons on facebook around the end/beginning of the month. People get their dole money then, they just dont shift during the middle of the month, especially a 5 weeker like last month

Have found things sell better around those times meself

I'm sure Richard E Grant produced a mock Georgian hand carved boot ornament for the r8.

you could attach it using "No more Withnail and I"...

The 1300's year old alternator with 4,000 miles of use under it's belt died this morning.

Current number of functional vehicles in fleet now 0. Bah.

Dyane is (pretty) solid now apparently. Getting closer!

I'll be heading over next week with a set of wheels and a master cylinder to coax the brake system back into life, and will then carry out some pre-test checks and perhaps actually drive it a bit (on private land, obvs). OMG FETTLING CAPERZ. Given how long it'll take for the logbook to come through, I'll be amazed if I get it back home before September. Seriously hoping it'll be here before Chumleigh Shitefest.

Certainly for the time being. No budget for doing anything about it, but I quite fancy an art project. Not enough hand-painted A-Series Citroens around these days.

Just received an update from DVLA which reckons I should get the V5 on or around the 18th August. That would be in time for the 2CV 24hr race...

As long as the art project doesn't involve painting it yellow and drawing teeth and dragons on it with a sharpie pen.

Er, ah, er, no. Definitely never crossed my mind...

I am glad your getting back to an A series car, somehow it seemed all wrong that you were not driving one around to frighten the sheep with. I even felt guilty, I have one on the road and yours was not running.

Aye. My sanity has only been held in check by the kind people of 2CVGB, many of whom have let me drive their cars over the summer. I've never driven so many different A-Series vehicles as I have this year.

The Foreign Legion used them as staff cars, you know. It would be a nice spin on the whole military rat look as well, give it a weathered early 80's legion paint job

Military really isn't my style though. I'm a bloody hippy. It needs flowers, anti-nuclear stickers and some vomit-inducing tripe about giving peace a chance.

Its strange though, most of the cars adorned with ban the bomb stickers look like they have been hit by one.... :blink2:

Was this meant to go in the made up facts thread?

That's done well! Perhaps it'll solve that 'bounce' issue the needle had.

£15 for a 13" steel wheel from a scrappy. Isn't that a bit on a expensive side?

This is the plan, my friend!  While the dash is out, I'll replace the heater fan with one that has functioning bearings...  :D

I might regret this, but I'm putting the Combi Camp up for sale. £175 if you're interested.

Does need a fair bit of fettling to be ideal, but I've camped all over England and Wales in it this summer and it has served me very well. Even in Welsh rain. Tows beautifully too.

Bounce?! Last time I was in it I thought it was the indicators as the needle bounced off the stop to about 60!
