I've paid for and insured the MGF, and bought my brother in law a train ticket as he fancied a day out. He's had his french licence for 18 months.

He now reveals he's never driven a convertible

Or a RWD car

Or a mid engine car

Or a petrol car

Or a manual RHD car.

Could be fun!

Nearby Churchill War Rooms might be worth a look. I keep meaning to go there but never get round to it even though I lived in London for a year.

I want to see them too. But as it involves that thar lundan, I probably won't.

most of the time seemed to be spent hurling insults at each other rather than making any positive arguments for their respective cases.

That sums up the entire country for the past two years doesn't it?

No. Liberal Democrates will never get into power.

I'll be hoping work has me in the area for that time. Nearby natural Park in Valenciennes area is also great for camping...… munchkin will fancy it as a weekend away. Thanks for the heads up.

This looks like a recipe for a Catsinthe wobbler roadtrip

Sadly I'll be at a French car event in the UK.

He'll have to do a Dave numbers conversion as he lives in Toulon!

Good, civility and compromise doesn't achieve anything.

Neither does screaming at strangers in the streets and threatening rape to be fair.

That reminds me of one I saw when the M11 was being built. I can't remember why but one of the blokes ran it over with his bulldozer. I suspect it is now buried under tons of concrete they poured in, best place for a maxi really.

Still some useable parts on that Maxi.

BMW outed for a decent drink on 2 days ownership. Glad it was an easy transaction, it was a nice thing to drive to the yard but I wouldn't keep one about the place.

Promised myself I'm going to be more proactive in 2019.  So, first (and hopefully not the last) to get attention is the Cadillac.  Parked it up in June because the driver's door stopped working on the central locking and it was pissing out PAS fluid.  Connected the battery up yesterday and it started first turn and blasted around all day like it was never off the road.  Booked in next week for new PAS fluid pipes (hopefully not too much of a faf) and I brought a door lock actuator back from The States in October so that should have her good again.

There's been zero car activity with me recently, the most exciting thing to happen so far is that my van passed its MOT yesterday with a clean sweep after doing over 1600 miles last year, not too shabby considering how long it had been off the road and that (touch wood) I've not had any dramas in it yet.
