One of the neighbours at work claims his place is haunted. Heard loud voices and music late at night with no one else about. He shouted at them that he was trying to work and it stopped.

If neither method of tape loading on the VIC 20 just type LOAD and it should ask you to press play on the cassette player. You may also need to omit the ",1" for disk on the VIC 20 as well, then just type RUN when loaded.

 

I've only gamed on a C64, never programmed as couldn't be bothered with all the PEEKing and POKEing.

Dash is from a Ford Fairmont Ghia 1998-2002 on which the mk10 cardinal is derived.

 

Dash plastic quality looks shite. Obviously went to same supplier as kia did for the mk1 mentor (when did anyone see one of those last?)

Picasso’s are ace (sorry Autoshite) and the 1.6 is the best choice IMO

Well I no longer have need to buy a van and the 8 valve 1.6 lump oddly seems perkier than my old 1.8. That engine was bollocksed though.

There was a Bentley up here that was plated for tax reasons, the chap who owned it was a right dodger and the car was only ever seen at his other businesses and never at a rank.

 

That makes sense, otherwise it really makes no sense at all!

It is a very old  school dating back 100 years and used to be run by nuns ..

 

lots of stories about how this and that went on ..how such and such was found dead etc

 

and lots of "visions" occurring  and strange sounds , people being woken at night , even overnight  visitors noticing the same happenings .

 

it got so bad a few years back that one part of the complex had to be "blessed" ..

 

one recent event was when we were all having a meeting in a upstairs room and a lot of thumping and banging came down from the loft ..

 

the maintenance guys went straight up from the meeting and found nothing ...

 

I have seen and heard things that cant be "explained " but it has been quieter for a few years ....

On way to Wythenhawe Hospital today, just off the motorway.

Massive foreign artic run in the back of a Quashqai, back was in almost to drivers seat, totally flat.

Have some sympathy with the truck driver, there's a feed road from the right, just before a roundabout.

You think you are stopping at the roundabout, not 20 feet earlier.

Almost went through it myself the first trip and I'm sat on the right.

5 minutes later I get a call to say the clutch is fucked and a bit of poking around reveals that the clutch cable has snapped.

 

 

Currently the new owner is sat in my lounge awaiting the RAC. Brilliant*.

I know, I've already mentioned that I hate the RAC and they're always later than they say, so who knows how long he'll be here. He was going to wait in the car, but that seemed very mean.

 

 

He's very nice about it. He was planning to take it off the road immediately after getting it home anyway.

 

I feel bad, but a clutch cable is just one of those things really and I used it this morning with no signs of an issue. I suspect he was a bit rough with it, but who knows.

Today I have replaced a rear spring in my daily Ibiza. I noticed it was broken when I changed the punctured tyre last weekend.

eBay came up trumps with 2nd hand springs with the correct colour code rating. Fitting was a piece of piss and actually went all according to plan!

 

 

Only broken at the top but MOT is due in Jan.

Buoyed with success and because the Beetle was thrown out of the garage for me to work in, I got the polish out and a gave winter spruce up before hibernation.

 

 

Used this waterless cleaner polish smells lovely but not sure I would use on a properly dirty car.

The Beetle was only a bit dusty so I was happy to use it.

 

 

And all tucked up until spring.
