And the plural is computer mouses

Nothing like an 0430 run to Heathrow to set you up for the day!  Taking the positives: the Mercedes feels much better after this - and 500+ miles to Brighton and back recently.

No it's not.

Source: it sounds just far too silly.

I was all ready to buy this earlier, until I had a test drive:

I love the look of it, the engineering, the clever packaging, but I wouldn't be able to live with it - "rolling down a hill in a wheelie bin" came to mind.  Maybe I should get in the queue for an IQ (hey, I've invented a marketing slogan!)

Needed a new motor for mother as I’d sold the Discovery 3 she was driving, enter stage left this beautyIMG_0502.thumb.jpeg.6b0c802a9aa18db30e47b8d587ea6f9a.jpeg

Won from Copart for a hammer price of £325, needs a headlight and a bumper but only 110k, auto, still has its prop (so is still 4wd) and runs sweet. Still tested to December even! Wants 4 tyres and scrubbing top to bottom but will do for a year or 2 of cheap motoring.

I’m old enough to remember people offering mouse service services. Now that’s silly.

Winning (in more ways than one)!

That is cheap enough! As long as it doesn't take too much to get its next ticket, then winner winner, chicken dinner!!

I was out doing some more airbag light troubleshooting this morning when a neighbor I know a bit came over to me.

His insignia has failed it's mot with condensation in the headlight, could I help remove it later... 🙄

Watching some YouTube videos it looks fiddly but do-able, I'll have a go this afternoon for him.

I had my entire bsi down and out

IMG20241109103422.thumb.jpg.a395c370bce11edb150048176f86b409.jpg

The back of the bsi board looks good but I've no idea how to seperate the front to have a look at all the business side. Left it alone, the back doesn't look corroded so 🤷

This was much easier to slide the connectors apart to get my multimeter connected to the wires

IMG20241109100207.thumb.jpg.cb970f9d29d79dd0dba09b4446abf6b1.jpg

I ended up probing every white and red wire from the engine bay loom side to the connectors and all test fine. I then tested what I *think* is the main comms ref and white wire twisted pair from an ancient forum thread that mentioned it and that was fine too 😢

All back together and the car still starts but the airbag light is still in. Need to think of another idea now 😂

My goal of buying a little hatchback for local errands hasn't quite been met:

I'm back in a big wafter and I love it!  Many thanks to @95 quid Peugeot, I've had a really fun day collecting this, shame I forgot to photograph it in daylight.

You have checked the under seat wiring connectors?

Yep. Did some pictures in my thread but they've all been gone through and I'm confident their not causing the issue. I did knock them once and the airbag light flashed until I wiggled them in the time honored way and it went off again (been moving the seat alot that day so Eva could drive around the FoD).

This is a solid airbag light and a lexia doesn't see the airbag system at all. If I turn the passenger airbag off with its switch that needs the ignition key it does turn the airbag off and display the pass airbag off light alongside the airbag one, with no beep, so I'm hoping for some main power feed/circuit sensor wire somewhere and once fixed all will be well🤞🤞

No title. Fucksake. 😭

I messaged the seller to see if the title can magically appear for a few € more if it’s just the case of him can’t being arsed with the paperwork or got it as part-ex and now can’t be bothered chasing the owner. Expecting to be either ignored or told no.

Update: Owner died, and it got sold on as no title. The guy selling it now has contact of previous owners.

Now, in theory it’s possible to add this into inheritance and get the title. I even have a lawyer who would be willing. It’s not even a complicated process. BUT. It requires the previous owners to play ball, and there’s no way to know without talking to them. I can only talk to them after buying a car. It has fuckall value as parts, as who drives 620Ti over here.

350€ gamble. Worth it?
