I use it in the mornings when I'm working in the office, I hit it at just such a time that the M6 is at a crawl for 2 or 3 junctions. £9 at that time of the morning and worth every penny

If only they’d made it a bit longer to rejoin the M6 east of the M42.

I just wanted to avoid stop start traffic on the m6. It’s shot up a lost in cost since the last time I used it

Bugger. And he broke down on sunbury cross roundabout taking it to the workshop! The yellow Harley coil died. Fitted the spare black one I have and it's fine. Thinks that couldbe what's blown the manifold gaskets too.

Lately I've been becoming increasingly frustrated with the stop/start function on my Peugeot. Whilst you can turn it off, it automatically comes back on every time you restart the car.

Every time I start the car I immediately press the button to disable it.

Today, I thought I'd tear off a small piece of a parking ticket, fold it over, then use it to try and wedge the stop/start button in place. I wasn't expecting it to be successful.

It's only gone and bloody worked! I will work on a neater solution, but this will do for now! Certainly beats paying someone to "code it out".

Landed another job interview, for something I actually want this time: part time assistant medical secretary in the stroke department for the NHS.  I've done this work before, about twenty years ago, and quite enjoyed it.  I doubt the NHS systems have moved on that far since then, they were still using paper and digital records in tandem and I imagine they still are.  The only thing I don't like is I'm going to have to do my first ever video interview and they insist on using Microsoft Teams, which I never have before.  Got a pal helping me do a trail run and iron out any bugs before the actual interview, lucky for me I bought my housemate's old laptop, hopefully the built in webcam and mic behave and it's easy to set up.  All those years doing Youtube vids have at least made me comfortable in front of a camera, so that's something.

While my mechanic friend is having fun* with the 2cv I have his car - it’s my first Honda. It’s very low geared, not sure I like it, but have just given it a wash.

This is a points scoring exercise; make sure you go through the person spec and cover off as many areas as possible during the interview.

Very nice.  I thought this G wagon belonged to overland type Tom Sheppard for a minute, similar plate but not him.

He is an interesting bloke, spent years doing expeditions to the Sahara and once met Michael Palin in the middle of nowhere.

It was going on, and no problem at all.

I know people seemed to love to hate them at the time, but I thought then and still do that they're a really good looking car.  Can't remember the last time I saw one.

Neighbour took me out in his BMW M4 and Audi R8 tonight. Both fantastic machines. M4 is remapped and really rather quick. Still had the traction control trying to stop it's wheels spinning up while accelerating hard in 2nd and 3rd. Only a stage 1 remap but tbh any more is pointless.

Went up to the local classic car meet in the R8 too. I think I prefer that car. Far more of an event and feels far more special. Even if slightly less power and brutal acceleration. I think similar performance but a creamy smooth engine. Also a car that everyone looks at far more than the M4.

Anyway meet photos. Not as much tonight as often is, as we got over late when most stuff had left already.

Navara went back on Friday. I had no intention of getting anything so soon but was offered a car for minimum coinages so took it.

It's a dizzler IX35. Faither has owned from 6 months old and has upgraded to a new Tucson. 105k, serviced every year.

Almost guaranteed I will get bored of it so expect to see it in the for sale section eventually!
