If I bring my licence can I have a go in the decker?

Buses fit in stupid places, comes from having a steering lock cars can only dream of.

The bouncy druid isn't a bad driver either

Since your new Mr Saab, we can deal with this sort of stuff, reckon your field is better or worse?

I think I'm right in saying that's the autoshite benchmark for facilities. Shitefest 2017 was almost boring in its dry ground and pleasant weather and facilities

I always found maneuvering a bus into a space easier than a car (into a proportionally sized space).

I wonder whether Maister Flower has considered removing the top deck seats and providing accommodation options...?

The only worry I have with the bus is height.

My "field" is my lawn, so I hope it will fare better! Plenty of hard standing around my neighbours steadings etc

Is there a localish premier or whatnot. It's a contingency for no babysitters. May have to take my little angels with me.

That's Download weekend, already got tickets to the tune of £750 so I'm oot. Have fun!

The only other person I can think of on AS that might possibly go to that is binhoker.

I'll alert my sister and her mob to look out for you!

We'll be the smug ones going home to a comfy bed, hot shower and central heating each night :-)

I am in the middle of nowhere - there is nothing local! Nearest Premier Inn place is Portlethen, about 20 miles. Nearest hotels are Stonehaven and Montrose, about 10 miles. There are a few B&Bs more local, but not really sure what standard, but a minimum of 5 miles I would guess

Could everyone go in convoy, picking up others on route and slipstream each other? How much fuel would that save?

What if police Scotland go all Swiss and lock everyone up for 3 months?  :tired:

Go up the M9, camp in a field by the side of the motorway. They'll never find you.

They'll realise this as a bad move after three minutes...

I've booked the weekend off.  I'm not a definite attendee yet, but I've been meaning to visit Scotland for years now and this might be the kick up the arse I need (although I wasn't intending to venture quite so close to the Arctic Circle).

I think you'll like it. Scotland is an incredible country. Four years ago, I was up there in the Sirion. We went right to the top to see the northern lights.

Let the wind blow high. Let the wind blow low & hopefully behind my Shite car to make it go.

Yes, no problem. Can accommodate several caravans nae bother

I normally avoid Scotland after May due to the midge problem. What is your place like for them? They can ruin a holiday!

Not too bad, though they can be a bloody nuisance. Early June they are not out in force, and providing there is 5mph of wind or more, they are not noticeable. Should shitefest coincide with a rare still day and early awakening midges, we can always retreat to the shed.

I think my current plan is to drive up, drop kids and Ms C in Inverness before attending this, collecting them and returning home.

It comes to 55% of the driving of Shitefest international.

Lucky git. I've been right to the top several times but never managed to see the northern lights yet.
