What is the interior like for comfort (seats and soundproofing and whatnot) on a long drive? Dunno really, only done 70 miles in it so far, but it seems quiet, comfortable and fairly economical. Pretty spacious for the passengers and the Mrs seems to like it OK aldo135, Tickman, juular and 4 others 7
loserone Posted March 6, 2022 Author Posted March 6, 2022 Well, this thing is good. Space, economy, AC, visibility. All in all it's an excellent family vehicle. The other week I lent it out to fetch a sofa, and when it came back I used the opportunity to go all TWO BUCKET WRONG UN with a mop and everything Also, it's good in snow In other news, I bought a book of the area and found this photae of my house. Guess I know what I need to get back on the road again then. Lacquer Peel, aldo135, AxWomble and 16 others 19

I have noticed that Trafic and Vivaro are very common in Ukraine. They regularly appear on the news. But the driver of this one in the picture, I hope he survived as this does not look good.

And the short version is no longer an estate just wider so very practical. But I envy that you have AC. loserone 1

The clip/mount for the bonnet stick was broken so it was replaced with a new one. I also tried to get the driver side sliding door fixed today but had the wrong parts so have to wait for new ones. Tomorrow I will get new brake calipers to the front so then I can continue with the brake the work there. Funnily enough I have one of those on order too! This week's Trafic excitement came in a predictable form Having confirmed it was the MAF, a new MAF was ordered. Well, two, because they were slightly different and the factors didn't know which would fit. When they arrived, they were MAP sensors. They were sent back. A MAF arrives the next day and I rocked up to fit it. Only thing is, the socket had two of the pins coming off the wrong way. That was sent back and another arrived. This was fitted and I'm told it's now running better than ever. Huzzah! Tickman, somewhatfoolish, Dyslexic Viking and 6 others 9

What issues have you found? There seem to be millions round here and they usually look a bit less shabby than the Transits!
Andyrew Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 These are a dying breed, shame they were mechanically delicate as body wise they dont seem to have issues. A friend has one thats a bit tired that i recall he got for free providing he gave the p.o a lift to the airport in it. Has a massive dent caved into the roof where it was buried in an avalanche for a little while! Matty 1

In that respect head and shoulders above the period transit and I was a big fan of them as well. Speaking as someone 2ho uses commercials on a daily basis for work, modern vans are shite

Hey hey! @Jimbob McGregor fettled the drums (again) and got the windscreen washer pump working, so this now has a nice clean 12 months test. It's running really well (it was a bit lean for the test), sounds properly rorty with the new exhaust @Jim Bell got from Germany, and is well sorted. Recent cambelt, RainExpert tyres all round with about 3k on them, and pretty much everything has been fettled. I think it's time to move it on though, as I want one with an XUD in it. I will be advertising it publicly later in the month, but for now an offer close to £1200 would take it from a shiter. I think that's pretty good value considering it's condition. As usual it's in Upper Weardale. Floatylight, Lacquer Peel, Jimbob McGregor and 3 others 6

paulplom Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 That's what happened to my transhit when it cracked a piston. Shaking like a shitting dog and running on three. After about five miles the ecu then shut the engine down and left me stranded on a Junction on Howden high street. Fingers crossed it's just an injector or something. loserone 1
