I love the fact it’s got a bull bar at the front. I mean these things were so small they made an Escort look like a Range Rover in comparison.

This would definitely fit in the back of the RoadRunner!

I’ve got some 1960s aeroplane magazines in the garage (as you do) and I’m sure there’s an period Alvis ad for these things in one of them, maybe just for the Saladin but I think it includes the other ones as well.

Will dig it out and take a photo when I get a chance.

Yeah I love the bullbars too, I think because of Mini Mokes lol, it's actually useful as a big handle for pushing it around and as a somewhat uncomfortable seat.

Fit in the Roadrunner? I am fairly sure if you parked them right you could could get at least two in it 😉

And in the Stolly? Perfect little car to carry to France for a mini tour of the continent?

Number 22 is now named Dennis (my mates suggestion) 😀 When you own multiple Stolly's you need a way of telling them apart and I find just referring to them by a serial number a little impersonal.

If you built a ramp you could jump them into the back of the truck then handbrake them rou.....

From that picture I'm pretty sure a blind man could tell them apart.

So when does work comence.

Work on the MK1 will commence once it's collected, Yeovil is a bit far to pop down and it's the sellers unit so I wouldn't be comfortable doing work there. It will be white too.

The Matchbox model is based on a MK1 so owning one will allow me to make a more accurate replica than I could with just a MK2. Plus they always say the first of the breed are best before the bean counters get involved.

Ramps, jumping, handbrake turns? All sounds rather dangerous, not the kind of activities a responsibile CEO would engage in......

Does that one move at all?

Not under it's own power, currently engineless, it comes with a pair of Bedford 500 8.2 litre engines though, one turbo one none and all parts required to dieselise a Stolly. As said the MK1 will be getting a B81 so the Bedford's will go in a pair of MK2's for evaluation purposes.

Possibly yes, I will be researching the full history of any Stolly's I acquire.

RAL 9010 is the paint code for UN white if anyone needs some.

So what is the next heavy piece of equipment I need to acquire to facilitate my business plan? Well I still officially have not purchased a truck moving truck and I already have two Stalwart's that need shifting and that's only the beginning.

Pretty sure I will be getting the Foden DROPS from earlier in the thread. I just love it's face.

What a beautiful machine it really is :)

It does have "get the fuck out of my way" written all over it. 😀

Very much so and I think when painted jet black it will look even more sinister.

I will leave that here again. Much like how the Roadrunner on two wheels advert made me buy a Roadrunner 30 years later the video above is why I must own the Foden. Pure insanity. I bet these fuckers cost £500,000 new!

Excellent choice, the colour of champions.  Will need an appropriate sticker though. :D

According to the dimensions that Leyland is 2.5m wide so UK legal on the road. That might make a big difference to usability.
