For the last couple of weeks myself and the girlfriend have been trying to work out if the heated seats in the SAAB work or not. Get in car, press button, "is yours getting warm yet?", "I dunno, what about you? Maybe I just warmed the seat with my body heat, it feels warmer though. Maybe". Etc.

I just got to the bottom of this mystery whilst leafing through the swathes of paperwork Eddy passed on to me. Amongst it all was a printout of a for sale thread from a few years back when Gadgetgricey owned the car.

 

 

 

 

That made my day and cheered me right up.

I'd be interested to know what functions the other blanked buttons would/could have performed. Mine is an SE so I'd imagine it is pretty high swank spec, yet I still have some omissions.

I think the sensor is for cars with climate control. The V6 just had on or off air con.

 

Don't quote me, but I think all the wiring is in place for heated seats. Saab fitted a standard loom and bits were\were not added as needed.

 

Hence why wiring was there to make switches light up.

 

Might just need some conv. Heated seats fitted and cooking on gas.

Even if you can't find heated seats, you could perhaps connect some bulbs or something up to the connectors and have jaunty testicular lighting operated by the switch instead?

I took the SAAB for a wash today in preparation for punting it on via the medium of roffle. It needs to go to free up a space for two more cars. And maybe a van.

I wanted to go through the automated big brushy wash thing but the lady at the garage wouldn't let me.

 

 

 

 

I don't often wash cars but I quite enjoyed doing the SAAB so I went back home and got the Citroen.

 

 

 

 

And that is it. A post about washing two cars. I NO RITE.

Last weekend myself and the girlfriend punted over to Devon to collect the replacement for the outgoing SAAB.

 

 

I got up too early Saturday morning so passed some time taking some old tat to decorate my new garage.

 

 

I also put the SAAB away in the garage until it's new owner whisks it away. It just fit.

 

 

I then had to try and de-skank the girlfiend's biohazard sticky kid bus enough to make it bearable for the drive to Devon. We decided not to take the AX as the exhaust would just be too loud and annoying for a long journey.

 

 

I got a couple of spots not far in to the drive to Devon..

 

 

 

We stopped somewhere in Somerset to visit an old building that isn't there anymore, 'cos that's the kind of shit we like.

Bonus visual pleasure at the entrance gate.

 

 

I saw ( and climbed) this too.

 

 

We stayed overnight in Paignton. The girlfriend rinsed the 2p slots and won us loads of gold.

 

 

 

We stayed in a small seafront hotel. The owner met us in skin tight red crushed velvet pants and a frilly pink top and ushered us upstairs immediately to the ballet studio to see his student perform.

He regaled us with tales of spending six months a year travelling the world teaching ballet and earning so much money that he didn't care if the hotel had guests or not, he just didn't need to work or need the money. Next morning I spied this outside. The hotel owner/ballet guru was called Vernon Fey.

 

 

Maybe he's just a painter and decorator on the side 'cos he loves it.

 

We went to Totnes on Sunday morning and I done spotted.

 

 

 

We visited the outside of Berry Pomeroy Castle on the way to the collection rendevue. The inside of Berry Pomeroy Castle was too expensive for now.

 

 

 

I just had time for one more spot in Tavistock before I picked up the SAAB replacement.

 

 

And in typical disappointing fashion, the last two photos are apalling for some reason. Soz.

I got home, much later than the girlfriend. Nothing of note happened.Soz.

 

 

My current dark and blurry fleet (the SAAB was collected tonight). I get paid on the 28th so I'm sure there'll be more incomings very soon after that.

 

 

The C15 has behaved faultlessly so far, I'm well pleased. It's always good to chat with HMC and I hope it's not the last vehicle I buy from him.

What you need is some LHM in your fleet. Then you would be a true Citroen enthusiast.

I agreed to buy a car a couple of days ago. This lunchtime I got presented with the opportunity to have tomorrow off work.

This lead to a rushed decision to get a train to get to a 12.5 hr coach ride to get to another train or bus or summat to get to a car.

 

Earlier this evening I once again braved the mean, mean streets of Surrey to trek to the station.

 

 

 

This just happened . .

 

 

And I'm currently enjoying the scenery on my way to that there London. Next stop, the overnight brandy bus.
