The escort brakes defeated me. Turns out the hoses had partially collapsed internally and at times were acting like a 1 way valve. Thats far to clever for my skill level of diagnostic ability.

Anyway, i sent it to my locaI shite friendly garage, collected it today and papped another customers heap…

I then went shopping and parked next to some chod

Ive got that lovely 406 coupe from the for sale ads.

Trouble is, what do i take to shitefest?

406 v6 coupe- not shite

escort drop top - shit or shite?

passat- vag shite

really it should be the escort, or should it?

i did look at a rover 800 limo, thought that would be ideal for the shitefest aeroplane museum leg of the trip, but i was concerned a 43k 23yo KV6 with no belt history would be asking for it being caned for 600 miles.

I did look at this cheap mulsanne turbo but ive learnt since my first hands burning experience- buy a good one, or dont buy one at all 😂

You are quite right about the Bentley. Get a really good one or simply don't bother. I don't think there are enough brave pills out there to convince me to get a cheap one. 😂

The only other Ronin car chase star is a 406 V6. There was one on the Ebay tat thread so I imagine @HMC has immediately impulse purchased it.

IIRC theres also an e34 and another chase sequence (iirc with a 406 ) where loads of chod gets trashed on a dual carriageway but its specifically the ambush chase with the lovely 6.9 it features in. Not only the model but also (if its not been overdubbed) also the same engine.

It has a v6. It has hydropneumatic suspension. Lots of buttons, some of which work. And a lot of waft factor.
