wuvvum Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 I came sooo close to buying that a couple of weeks ago - glad it's joined the fold, it looked a bargain.

D.E Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 Grand old thing! Googling the reg brings up a few older pictures. Seems it went through an auction in 2021, and has been used for weddings: Flat4, Shite Ron, HMC and 2 others 5

HMC Posted August 24, 2023 Author Posted August 24, 2023 I was secretly holding out for a dr450 limo as per the pakistani ambassador #italian job. Charlie Croker’s prison release transport NAN***D iirc? I bought Miriam Margoles’ autobiography yesterday and she described being dropped off at cambridge in 1960 in her Jewish Dr Fathers’s conquest century, at the same time i was perving over the e bay pics, which i took as a sign 😂 anything for validation! bigstraight6, Coprolalia, wuvvum and 4 others 5 2

Rust Collector Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 @HMC what was the crown vic limo like on fuel? That looks like a really comfortable way to cover distance when there's a few of you.

I went on the a303 and was doing 50-70 at a steady cruise going with the flow. It is so comfortable, absorbs bumps well and the demeanour of the car - in my hands at least, means you just go with the flow and relax. Rust Collector and LightBulbFun 2

timolloyd Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 There seems to be some disturbing structure to your purchases now. Are you on a limo trip? Next month: 2 microcars.

Sigmund Fraud Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 Ooh, I've always wanted one of those re-badged Lanchesters ! I think I'll really struggle to resist when it inevitably comes up for sale in a few weeks...
artdjones Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 The Centurys aren't as stodgy as might be imagined. The Century refers to the engine power,100hp, and they could do 90 when the average family saloon was pushed to get beyond 70. Sigmund Fraud, HMC, tooSavvy and 1 other 4
Doctormop Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 A beautiful car from a bygone era, Not everything was better back in the day but engineering innovation and quality most certainly was. HMC 1

somewhatfoolish Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Judging by the way it appears to have been hammered into place and bending the trim, probably the latter. 1 hour ago, HMC said: original or aftermarket?
