Important to note... "HERE I HAVE FOR SALE A GENUINE HONDA CITY R"Not one of those all-too-common fake City R's. Wonder if it has a different engine to UK cars? Noticed it says CVCC on the cam cover.

That is probably the worst kitcar effort I've ever seen, seriously. 1.3 diesel! I'd be genuinely frightened to ride in it, the entire thing looks like it's made out of balsa wood and sheets of transparent plasic. I can't stop looking at it, it looks like something made in a primary school for a play about road safety. Some of the door gaps must be nearly an inch out!

I can only conclude that this is Raymanboy's cousin.

Edit: How on earth would you wind the windows down with the door crease there? The longer you look at this travesty, the more you discover.

Wow  Obviously someone had high hopes of re-creating this:

It's RHD drive though isn't it :?:?:

Wonderful isn't it? There are no papers but the English plates are included, no mention of the engine, condition or type other than eagle, and a BIN of 2125 euros... non merci!

Posted

You mention Raymanboy.... thats not his white Triumph Vitesse in the background is it?Agree that raises the bar for piss poor kit 'cars' assembled by mental patients. What engine can you even get in 1.3 diesel flavour? i'm sure its not gonna have a fiat multijet diesel, I can only assume its a 12hp 'Kubota' from a fuggin bilge pump or something.

Now that you mention it, that Vitesse looks like it is on old-style UK black and silver plates! There's an XJS in the background too.I'm stumped about the 1.3L diesel too, if it was something else I'd assume it was a mistake, but given the rest of the car I wouldn't be surprised if he'd made it himself in the shed.Another detail of note - the drivers side door appears to be held on with rope attached to the doorframe and steering wheel.

Curious... it's supposed to be in Belgium, but the seller is called langlais1959 (l'anglais=the Englishman) and I can't determine where the pics were taken. Odd.That Volvo limo would be GR8 4 SHAKIN THE CHAMPERS 4 BACHELORPARTAYZ or 4 putting the fun back in funerals.

Lost for words. Except to say that (a) it's most likely Beetle-based and (B) they've done well to find matching rims in five-stud flavour for the front axle and four-stud for the back!
Posted

Didn't older Polos come with a 1.3 diesel on the continent? Might be why the back end is 4-stud.

Was this Vauxhall spotted by someone or for sale previously as I remember the plate from somewhere?

Lord Sterling
It was me :D

It had sat outside a car sales pitch for years  After I posted the pics on retro rides someone went to view it and said it was rotten in the floor/sills etc

When the garage was closing down a £450 price tag was put in the window.

 and  at the horrible home-made thing... is it supposed to be a Countach? I wouldn't have that if you paid me to take it away! How much is that? £1600?The pictured do look very British... although the trailer thing in one of the pics does seem to have a white/red Belgian plate...

Nope, the car is very much in Belguim, possibly in Thuin as the seller claims to be from, although the surrounding look english, they are Belgen, I dont how but I recognise them, he's probably and English bloke who lives out there (As I once was, and want to be again!)

Might be time to take you on the Wuv's. Could be time to get the ''barned'' credit cards out....Economic madness- but you only live once!

Wow, yesterday that PL17 was at 51 quid... gorgeous car.

Isn't this seller the one that's always turning up clean, low mileage stuff? Currently at £1649, 6hrs to go. Similar money to what I'm spending on my new toy, I can see the appeal of this but I know which I'd rather have and I reckon I'm getting better VFM.
