Pete-M
I would be delighted to own this...http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0241291472... domestic management decrees a modern blob on wheels is what we need. No class, some folk. I had an '85 W123 280TE. Surprisingly good to drive once you learn their little ways, amusing things to hustle for the size and look of them. Beware of the front coil springs - they snap and they're an utter pain in the arse to change. Need weapons grade spring compressors - front coils are 13 coils long and need to be fully compressed before they'll fit. Scary job when you're not sure the compressors can hold them without breaking...

Plastic-y to the point of being a match for a 1990's Ford Transit. Four doors + wrong front bumper + sunroof = instant WRX fail. It might impress spotty Corsa drivers though. Mr_Bo11ox
eBay madness! The first time that car went through the bay, he had a perfectly good ad with lots of pics and it went for about 400 quid to someone in Lancashire. The Lancs man readvertised it straight away on various forums for about 1000 and obv sold it to some guinness slurpers, who are themselves selling it now, and its bust straight through £1600! I'd be pig sick if i'd put it on in the first place and got just 400, none of them appear to have done anything to it.
mouseflakes
Similar scenario here - I may be wrong, but isn't this the Camry that was on for around £475 with the previous owner a while back? Now a classified ad with a £1295 asking price - though he is open to offers.

Specially, as you point out, he's done fuck all with it.That's a real sickener for the bloke who left it go for £400. But who expects a 20 year old Pug to be worth that kind of dish to somebody? Father Ted
Talking of which Petrol 406's seem to be going for budgie money at the moment - currently bidding on a couple and hope to win one to use as an alternative to buying a train ticket to London. The 4x4 system used on the 405 was much more robust than that emplyed by the BX - which is a bit odd given that under the skin they are essentially the same beast. r.welfare
Anything biggish, French and petrol-powered is worth buttons these days...witness crazy demand for diesel 405s, yet the petrol ones - that 4x4 and perhaps the Mi16 excepted - are worth scrap value + what's in the tank. Carlo got a beaut Exec auto for about 350quid recently I think.
