I had a part for a bus for sale on eBay. The sale went like this:

 

Buyer in France hit buy it now at 1333 on 30/06/17.

 

30/06/17 13.33 Ebay Auto-Invoice arrives for item sold.

30/06/17 17.38 Buyer: Hi how much postage cost or i program the pickup?

30/06/17 19.10 Buyer: Hi how much postage cost or i program the pickup?

 

The buyer then escalated the communications to the 'I didn't receive my item' part of a dispute.

30/06/17 21.58 Buyer: You do not communicate ??? 

 

01/07/17 00.27 Me: Hi, I have been at a wedding all afternoon and evening and therefore I have not accessed eBay at all. Sorry if this has been a problem for you. 

 

I will send an invoice on Monday once I've worked out how much postage will be to where you are.

I am not a business seller, I have a life and work outside of eBay. I try to process orders quickly but I don't usually sell to outside of the U.K.

 

It will be £25 to post to France.

I had a bit of a 'sod it' moment, and cancelled it anyway. The buyer's feedback suggested he might try a fast one claiming the item had not arrived.

He also left me some nice feedback:

​I then found he also 'bought' another item i had for sale, purely to leave more bad feedback: 

The world's largest patient Never seen such a seller racist

 

​After a phone call to eBay I managed to get both feedbacks removed. I also blocked him. 

 

Just rechecked eBay and my third and final item has sold. And guess what? More bad feedback from a different account: 

thief, no communication than problems

 

The buyers involved were: terrebasse and velizy2

 

Problem is, I reckon i'm going to have to start all over again, each time I put something up these clowns are going to sabotage the job.

Hence why I canned the sale before it got any further. Thing is, I have nearly 130 good feedbacks that have taken a while to build. I don't really want to start again, but I think i'll have to.

Thats what I normally do. However, eBay in their infinite wisdom now resets the buyer requirements every time something new is listed - I hadn't realised it was going to allow non-UK bidders.
